I love the snack boxes! Yum! Cucumbers are my favorite of the the “veggies & dip”, so I have learned that if you put a folded paper towel in the bottom of the bag the sliced cucumbers will keep really well for several days. And if you’re up for the time and effort, peeled and sliced broccoli stems are a really delicious addition to the veggies & dip bags. (I prefer them to the florets. They don’t taste as “green”.)

I commend you on your organization of your family’s meals. It takes some energy and planning to get good and nutritious food on the table. From purchasing, hauling, “pre-prepping” and making sure everyone likes what you make them. I cook for 2-3 days at a time and my 30 y.o. daughter take turns dining at places that will change the food around so we eat fresh and Keto friendly. My dogs are even in on Keto, they love the special bacon and natural sausage treats. I use my pressure cooker for my proteins. We eat pork and beef roasts with lots of onions and bells. My fur children are 10 and 12 and eat better than I do. Great video! Enjoy

Love your meal prep videos! I'd like to try making those egg bites, but I don't have an Instant pot. I do have an electric pressure cooker and a rice cooker ( which I had before the instant pot came out, bummer!) I don't think you cooked this with pressure, and I don't have any molds that are round that would fit in my rice cooker... do you have any suggestions so I can make them in the oven, yet keeping that moist texture? If I were to get some molds, do you think a rice cooker would work?

There are only three substances that the human digestive system recognizes as food in this world: amino acids (proteins), lipids (fats), and carbs. But there is a MAJOR difference between complex carbs, (like whole wheat, whole grains, apples, applesauce, wheat germ, AND ALL VEGGIES!!), which are very good and healthy, and simple carbs which is like white sugar and white bread. Guess what? If a particular food has no protein in it, and has no fat in it, then guess which food it DOES have in it? (First to guesses don’t count.). 👍❤️😉😏 Complex carbs are VERY good for you. (So don’t let “carbs” scare you! There are carbs even in veggie salads. {If it’s not a protein, and not a fat, THEN it IS a carb!} But complex carbs is what you want more of than simple carbs. Not ALL carbs are “bad!” ~*~ (FYI: Almond flour still has some carbs. Nuts also have SOME proteins in them, too.) There are 14 (chemically different types) of amino acids (proteins), but plant-based proteins do NOT come in all 14 versions. (Some ONLY come from animal sources.). And yet the body NEEDS all 14 to be optimally healthy. This is why they are considered (by doctors & professional nutritionists) as being “INCOMPLETE” proteins, unless you COMBINE them with OTHER certain foods WITH them, like having rice or tortillas or breads with legumes (beans.) ~*~^~*~ You’re little boxes and packs look really healthy & yummy & cute. 👍😉❤️ How long do they store in the fridge before they start to go bad??
@Jen-Chapin6 жыл бұрын
I’m not sure because we eat them too fast lol! I would say 5 days if they have eggs in them.
@donnanorris29396 жыл бұрын
Just remember, complex carbs are (very healthy) very different from simple carbs. Complex carbs ALSO have NECESSARY soluble dietary roughage, which keeps your colon healthy and working correctly, which keeps you from needing colorectal surgery! 😲💩

Yes! This is why I want to start adding back in :)
