Good evening everyone! Hope you’re all having a fab Sunday…Welcome or welcome back to my favourite day of the week on the channel….this weeks meals of the week 🙂 I hope you’ve all had a good week! I’ll join you down in the comments for a wee while xxx

Never ever missed having Sunday roast all my life and marriage until the children flew the nest. Now I rarely ever do as I live alone. But my son has cancer and I’m cooking his meals currently so it’s back to Sunday roast!! The doctors came to him and said well done all your vitamin levels and iron have gone up hugely and cholesterol down. You are sticking to a great diet. He said It’s my mum. They said give her a hug 🥰 😇. Made some of your recipes. He took your millionaire slice to his chemo and was very popular!

Cheryl my dear, you bring good to the world. I am currently cooking for my husband and vegetarian adult daughter, as well as preparing a noon meal for my 93-year-old neighbour. I strive to feed my dear elder with as many calories as I can, and she greatly appreciates things as tasty as I can make them. But of course I try to sneak veggies in, and up the tasty quotient to offset the fact she doesn’t have the appetite to eat a lot. Your menus are perfect! AND I agree fully -put your fillings in a pie, and you have a winner. I adore your channel. 🇨🇦

You are a very loving and kind person. I'm sure your neighbor is so happy for her delicious noon meal.

I vote for Mr. What’s For Tea”s preference (if you’re taking a poll 😅). Soup and rolls every day! So good! I lived in Phoenix, Arizona where in the summer the temperature hits 45 degrees…I’d still eat soup.
@hossenfeffer8383Ай бұрын
My family and the neighbour I prepare lunch for *love* homemade soups. I keep two ea. gallon jars going each week (4 litres ea., we are metric here of course) - one with a creamy base and one with a homemade chicken stock. This week I am offering a lentil soup, which I dress up with homemade croutons, how easy, and a perennial favourite, chicken noodle soup. For the chicken soup I ladle out the requisite amount of stock for four persons, then add egg noodle nests for four, and previously blanched carrots. Topped with parsley I am still culling from the garden - it’s amazingly hardy, having survived a -7C frost and thriving. I put shredded chicken in each bowl, then add the broth, carrots and noodles and voila, a pretty good soup.

One of our supermarkets in NZ carry these sachets. I’ve not used them as it’s not where I usually go, but may have to visit and give them a go!! They are in UK money £1.50 each. So a generous gift.

I live in the North West of England, the chip shops sell a dish called half and half. You can have half plain rice and half chips with curry sauce poured over or half fried rice and half chips with curry sauce. It’s a filling and cheap meal.

I can't say I'm a fan of cold weather these days (must be getting old), but I do love slow cooker season. Shredded beef curry sounds just fine to me, takes away the decision of when to eat the chunks in between everything else.
