My Uncle was in Boot Camp @ Parris Island in 1980. Before he passed away two years ago I had subscribed him to your channel. We would watch your reviews. He told me that you both stomped on some of the same places when he was in the Marines. He was in Grenada in 1983. I remember looking at all the pictures he took from the places he went to. Great video today. I have wonderful memories of my uncle when I watch your videos.

For a recommendation for those who try the cheese pizza. Heat the applesauce with the main, crush up the crackers, and mix them together for a faux apple pie. I like to use the peanut butter for the chocolate bar (I am not of fan of the taste of chocolate, so the peanut butter helps a lot.)

You should start reviewing emergency food buckets, like mountain house, peak...all the freeze dried foods I think that would be fun. My grandpa a vet worked at oregon freeze dry and retired and that is the makers of mountain house

The small packets have always been small, and meant for a bottle of water. They're artificially sweetened, so no sugar volume - just debadged Crystal Light and other similar brands.

Very cool comparison. I have enjoyed both, just never compared. FRH'S too small and work poorly, agreed. One of many pet peeves. The cheese on the pizza, you can hit with blowtorch, it will not melt. Burn, yes, melt, no. I tried it after being told, LOL. Inquiring minds want to know. Protein drinks are texturally challenging to me. I prefer to pass on them. Personal preference only. I prefer cheese over peanut butter, but enjoy both greatly. Components in both meals look awesome. Glad no Italian bread sticks this time. I taste them for 3 days, LOL. Pizza meals remind me of cafeteria pizza back in school days. I graduated in 80. I actually like these. Awesome comparison and review. Nicely done. Peace from Ky. John. While I don't really care for MRE pepperoni pizza, I'd definitely prefer it over the cheese pizza. I'd guess the thick breading is to make it filling for a meal, without having to really pile on the topping. I have added parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning to MRE pizza to improve it, but there's just so much you can do to make this better. Those spiced apple slices would be very appreciated in the field, I'm sure! 😊

I’ve tried the pepperoni pizza US MRE and was not impressed with the pizza. Loved the cookies but would agree I would trade the pizza for another main if I could but if not then yes I would eat it in the field. I remember playing enemy one night and a cow wandered into one of the students harbour area setting off all their trip flares so they opened up on it 😂😂😂😂 I was sitting there hidden enjoying all the fireworks watching the students deplete all their Ammo and thinking to myself the real attack is coming later when your all out of ammo 😂😂😂😂 epic ❤❤❤

I was. I was in Beirut when the US Embassy was bombed. I was stateside when the barracks was bombed. I found out about it when my wife and I went to the commissary and one of our friends who worked there came running up to us to ask if we'd heard. (this was before 24 hour cable news). Her husband was over there at the time and she was worried sick. I told her not to worry as there were several check points and there was NO WAY a truck could have gotten through all those guards. I was very wrong, unfortunately. TFW, Bob.
