DISASTROUS Drive In CITROËN AMI To GRASSE.

We (my wife, daughter and myself) actually took the train to Grasse from Nice last week. We went to Molinard and did the two hour perfume workshop, where we each made our own perfumes. Hope Elton is okay.

Great episode, looking forward to the next one. I hope to see Elton smash through that barrier like he's in an espisode of The Sweeney. When I was 17 I had the full Brut 33 set, shampoo, soap, deodorant and the "splash it all over" bottle. I must have stunk but everyone else used it too so it wasn't so bad.

Oh wow. Love the pink umbrellas. Looks like twiggy is off for another adventure. Lovely to see your hat on Tim. I try not to notice cars behind me as it stresses me out. They can overtake me easily. I went down our local hill after a full charge and realised she was going 48mph!!!!!! 😮. Ha ha. Really hope Elton is ok though but I do wish you could afford the Topolino for your summer adventures! Two car households are normal and in your case, bikes and an emotorbike. Look forward to Sunday.

Galllimard is the most famous and renowned perfumery in Grasse. I keep thinking of the classic French movie, “The Umbrellas of Cherbourg” but for the ubiquitousness of umbrellas decorating the town roofline, Grasse must take pride of place! Your cliffhanger ending at the parking place was unexpected and did Elton escape a scrape? We’ll have to tune in next Sunday to watch the outcome. When all is said and done, the drive to Grasse was a memorable one, indeed.

About thirty + years ago I went to the Fragonard factory and did the tour and afterwards we were ushered into the shop. I thought i would buy something but, being a naive young lad from Yorkshire, I had no idea what, so I asked a very beautiful assistant what she suggested. she looked me straight in the eyes and said 'if you were my boyfriend I would buy you this one'. of course my knees buckled and I bought it. Due to a technical glitch in the English language, a bust of Lolo Ferrari would not depict THE bust of Lolo Ferrari (courtesy of Wikipedia for the definition - who needs Oxford English). Extrapolating further, a statue of THE bust of Lolo Ferrari would not depict the face of Lolo Ferrari. Probably such a thing would never be allowed due to environmental concerns as it would glorify single use plastics. She was an icon though and came to a sad end. Grasse is where she died.
