that would be so handy. I'm a DIY mom that is starting to build up her tool collection. Those items get expensive, but in the end cheaper than hiring it out. I would love to get it.

To measure a whole room and stationary items it’s a haven sent tool, but for actual carpentry work it’s more of a pain the you know what without something to bounce off the beam it will not measure so take that into account when trying to measure outdoors! Sincerely your Home Depot measure tech!

I would love to have that laser measuring tool! I often work by myself and don't have a second person to hold the dumb end of the tape measure! Thanks!

i would think you'd want to set it to measure from the back of the device to account for the length of the device itself

Is there a way to make the default measurement what you prefer say Feet inches and fractions for example

If you like that laser tape measure... you will love the Bosch GLM 100 C Bluetooth laser tape measure. It has a bunch of measuring functions and you can download their free android app that you can connect via Bluetooth with their laser tape measure. Its great.

So it can only be used to measure where you stand to a surface? It can’t be used to measure two random points?

I could use one of those for some outdoor projects coming up as soon as it stops snowing.

Hi Chris. Yes there handy, been using one for years now. I use it to go through the house and measure all the longer baseboards that are to hard to measure alone before installing. Also use it to get square footage of homes and whatnot. The one I have also will give you angles and roof pitches and actually shoots up to 600' away. The name escapes at the moment though, and was more expensive of course too. Only think to watch for is the accuracy at certain distances depending what one is going to be using it for. Keep up the good work and hope you have a good week coming up. 👍

Hi Chris I have been using one of those for a couple of years they are great.. very easy to use.. Most jobs I do I have to give the client notice of the cost of the job. I find tape measure are hard to use when furniture or plants are in the road...

I have been using a Bosch for a while now. I have tried to make it wrong but have yet. I do a lot of crown molding and mine is dead on from wall to wall. Point click go cut the piece of crown plus a 1/16 and it fits every time.

Can you set it to read inches only? I do kitchen design and deal in inches only on the design software. I have a Bosh now. It reads feet and inches and metric but not inches only.
