Bread crumbs and eggs are supposed to go into the mince and combined . That's what holds the balls together.

Kay, if a food's expiration date is only a month and year, it expires on the last day of that month. Which in your case, the breadcrumbs have an expiration date of April 2024, meaning they expired April 30th of this year. If they were good until the end of the year, it would say, “Dec 2024.” People are just trying to keep you safe and healthy. 💖💖💖
@angusmctwangstick407927 күн бұрын
As long as they haven't gotten damp from moisture in the air, the breadcrumbs are probably fine. They are out of date, though. A shop might get in trouble for selling them if they sold those after April.

Love you Kay, I’ve been watching your videos before bed and I love them always make my day. I hope the trolls arent getting you down. I have a little recipe for you to try whenever you can.❤ Ingredients: Chorizo -half a stick of chorizo Linguine pasta Diced tin of tomatoes - one whole tin Bell Peppers- one pepper Onion- one small or half a large onion Fresh tomatoes- x2 diced Garlic - 1 teaspoon Oil Season to taste with salt, pepper Cheese Method 1)Get all the bits chopped up ready (chorizo, onion, bell pepper, tomatoes) -I noticed this is what you do normally. 2)Get the pan warm with some oil in there just a little drizzle will do. 3)Drop the chorizo in the pan with the onion peppers let them brown on a low to medium heat stirring occasionally. 4)when they start getting brown, add the chopped tomatoes and cook for about 3 minutes 5)While you wait Get the pasta boiling 6)Once that’s done drop in your tin of diced tomatoes into your chorizo sauce pan. 7)let simmer on a medium heat until the pasta has finished cooking, the pasta should only take about 10-12 minutes (if you want to add any seasoning such as salt pepper etc add it now to the sauce) 8)When the pastas cooked drain it and add it to the sauce 9)stir to make sure all the pasta is covered in sauce to serve top with a little grated cheese.

Hi Kay, I love your channel, I'm sorry the haters are getting you down. I have a recipe to suggest! Shakshuka for two: 1 red pepper, finely sliced 1 red onion, finely sliced 1 tin of chopped tomatoes 3 cloves of garlic, finely sliced half a bag of baby spinach 1 tin of chickpeas 1 teaspoon of paprika half a teaspoon of chilli flakes half a vegetable stock cube 4 eggs 3 tablespoons of olive oil quarter of a pack of crumbled up feta (optional) - in a deep frying pan gently fry the onion and pepper in the olive oil with a little salty and peppier until soft and lightly charred - add the garlic and fry for another couple of minutes - add the paprika and chilli flakes and fry for another 30 seconds - add the spinach with a little more salt and stir in until all the spinach is soft and wilted - drain the chickpeas and add chickpeas, chopped tomatoes and vegetable stock and cook for a few minutes until the sauce starts to thicken make little wells in the sauce and crack the eggs in so they start to poach, put a lid on pan and cooking at a medium low temperature for five minutes or until the eggs and cooked through but not hard - if using feta crumble on top and immediately serve in a bowl with garlic bread enjoy 😊

I have a recipe for you: Ohio USA Shredded Chicken Sandwiches Place 4 chicken breasts in a slow cooker. Pour 2 cans condensed cream of chicken soup overtop. Cover and cook on low for 3-4 hours or until the chicken is shreddable. Shred the chicken, then add 1/2 cup of chicken flavored stuffing mix. Mix well, cover and cook for 15-20 minutes or until the bread crumbs are moistened. If you’d like the mixture thinner, add a little bit of chicken broth until it is the consistency you’d like. Serve on hamburger buns. Great with a dollop of mustard on top.

This recipe is okay I made it myself and it’s my go to struggle meal. Idk what to call it so I just say cream of mushroom pasta. Boil your favorite pasta noodles. On the side heat a skillet with oil then chop up some onions and red bell peppers, or any veggies you’d like. When the pasta is cooked add to the veggies. I add canned chicken since it’s cheap but frozen and cut up into cubes is fine too. Add can of cream of mushroom soup, salt, pepper, and garlic to taste. Bring to boil and done! ❤ P.s-sometimes if I have it I add a little balsamic vinegar and top it with Parmesan cheese

Hi Kay, I absolutely love your channel, always puts a smile on my face, you’re such a wee gem 💖 I’d absolutely love for you to try my lasagne recipe, I will post it below if you fancy giving it a try 😅 Chilli Con Carne Lasagne Meat sauce: * 500g Beef mince * 1 White onion * 1 Red pepper * 3 Cloves of crushed garlic * 1 Can chopped tomatoes * 1 Can mixed beans * 1 tsp of Cumin * 1 tsp Paprika * 1 tsp Mild chilli powder * 1 tsp Salt * 3 tsp Sugar * 250ml Water Béchamel sauce: * 50g Butter * 50g flour * 500ml milk * Chilli cheese * Salt For Assembling: * Lasagne sheets * Chilli cheese * Doritos Method: 1. Heat some oil in a pot on a medium heat, add the chopped onions and cook for 3-5 minutes. 2. Add in the crushed garlic, red pepper, cumin, paprika and chilli powder and give it a good stir, leave to cook for a further 5 minutes. 3. Add in the mince and stir until broken up, cook until browned. 4. Once the mince is done, add in the chopped tomatoes, water, salt and sugar. 5. Place a lid on the pot and cook on a low heat for 45 minutes to 1 hour. Stir frequently to prevent sticking. 6. Once ready to start the béchamel, pour your can of beans into the meat sauce. 7. In a separate pan, melt your butter on a medium low heat until fully melted. 8. Add in the flour and salt, and stir until completely mixed. 9. Pour in the milk and thoroughly stir with a whisk. 10. Continue stirring regularly until thickened. 11. Once the sauce has thickened, add in the chilli cheese and stir until combined. 12. Remove both pans from heat and get your lasagne sheets. 13. Cover the bottom of the dish with a few spoonfuls of the meat sauce and cover it with lasagne sheets. 14. Add a few spoonfuls of béchamel sauce, to cover the lasagne sheets. 15. Sprinkle some grated chilli cheese on top of the béchamel and add another layer of the mince on top. 16. Layer more sheets on top of the mince and add more béchamel sauce. 17. Heat the oven to 180°C and place in the centre of the oven for 35-40 minutes. 18. Take the lasagne out of the oven and sprinkle Doritos and chilli cheese on top. 19. Cook for a further 5 minutes, until the cheese has melted, then serve.

@@kristenpead5817 the point people are missing is the date is arbitrary. The manufacturer puts it there because they think they simply taste best by that date. That's it. They often make shorter dates so you're compelled to buy more frequently. The term "Use by" on labels is more of a safety directive. Also Kay's crumbs simply had a date. It didn't say anything else.
@stephenlurie82122 күн бұрын
@@christines2556 When bread becomes dry, people often say it's stale. If it's stale, it's dry - not moldy or spoiled, just dry. Using breadcrumbs in cooking came about as a way to use older bread so it didn't go to waste. Bread Pudding is another example of salvaging stale bread.

I think the breadcrumbs are fine, but Kay please be careful with meat! If you had it frozen you’re ok. Meat can stay in the freezer for a year. If you have a deep freeze you can go two years, but I saw a food safety expert say 1.5 years max in deep freeze. Food-borne pathogens are no joke.

It’s no problem, I had meat that said 1-Nov as use-by, I ate it on 29thNov coz what’s the problem? Still the same month!!!
@jefftaylor537022 күн бұрын
@ It’s not a problem until it is. It all depends on how the meat was handled and stored. A week or two past the best-by date probably isn’t a big deal usually. I generally don’t go more than a week. It also depends on the type of meat. Chicken is notorious for harboring salmonella. Ground/minced meat increases surface area for bacterial growth. Just be careful. If you don’t think you’ll consume it before the best-by date, freeze it. A very interesting rabbit hole is how our grandparents and post generations used bacteria via fermentation to preserve food.
