Just wanted to thank you for these hunting videos. This year I'm 72, with bad knees and recently ruptured my major pectoral muscle on my shooting shoulder. Been a hard year for me to hunt, maybe my last year. This season I saw absolutely no turkeys until after the close of the Fall Turkey Season on Vermont. Likewise, it's the end of deer rifle season and here in southern Vermont I haven't even see a deer while out hunting. This makes 4 years running without getting a deer. What a way to end a hunting life. So, I really appreciate being able to watch the hunting and fishing experiences you put out...kind of an arm chair hunter now. Thanks Steven Rinella!

Is would definitely say that Meateater has impacted me. I appreciate what my grandparents did to put meat on the table and I take nothing for granted with wild game. If it's edible on the animal, I should make use of it. I won't take anything from the wild if I won't eat it. So, yeah....Meateater has made an impact on me.

One of the things that this show provides viewers is that they film all the aspects of the hunt and do not edit out the parts that may challenge you. For some who have never hunted the scene around @11:57, where Steve hits the turkey with a rock, there is a moment where the uninitiated may flinch. Throughout the different seasons this show brings up the theme that connecting with nature requires some tough conversations and introspection. You have to ask yourself "what is your relationship with your food?" As a hunting neophyte who became interested in hunting because of this show, there is a constant growth of understanding.

If you're looking for some of the best turkey hunting in the U.S. try out Michigan. We've got an estimated 200,000 birds in Michigan and large flocks of birds are common in many areas. On my family farm in Allegan County, I've seen flocks as large as 35 with birds in excess of 20 lbs. I've tagged out every year since I started hunting them a few years ago, once I found out how great they tasted! Thank you, Mr. Rinella for making us Michigan boys proud. Keep making great outdoors content and I'll never stop watching.

@@ogoe_joeoutdoors1088 It depends, if you’re in Mexico it’s not crazy to expect someone to speak Spanish and if you’re in the US you should expect people to be able to speak English. If I never leave the US there’s no reason to learn another language, especially since English is so universal now.
@loudmouf92464 жыл бұрын
@@memer-_-9235 I agree. Just don’t like people that go on holiday and get upset at the locals for not knowing English. Or people that assume every foreigner is an immigrant. Scouting in advance equals great success. A lot of hunters just go to an area and if it looks good, then they wait. If you scout a day or 2 in advance, you are pretty much guaranteed a good successful hunt. If it is worth doing, then it is worth doing correctly. You get what you put into it. Great video with good times and making some new friends.
