Simple definition of better standard of life means: Basic necessities - pure air, water, good roads, good reliable affordable transportation, good comfortable and functional housing, good free school, good and affordable college education, affordable healthcare, good social security, safety, properly organised markets for daily shopping without wasting time etc. Desirable facilities - recreation facilities like parks, walkways, beaches, mountains, affordable hotels, easy car renting so that people can travel to far away places in flights and trains and rent vehicles easily in an affordable manner for local transportation, reasonable tax, good salary, less expenses, good safe investment opportunities, publics sporting facilities in reachable distance for daily workout, stable and participatory political system etc. This is huge list, but do we have any of this here in India or in Kerala? The fact is no, so the people are moving. Once people visit other countries or they see this on you tube and instagram or hear it from their friends they will go. Just by improving our educational institution or by providing job with higher salary people will not get better standard of life.

The western countries achieved through their hardwork, respect for the law, etc. You also elect third rate people based on your political ideology instead of people who want to contribute to the society. There are lot of unemployed, homeless and poor people in developed countries also. We do not respect blue collar work, and everyone goes to the Europe to enjoy with minimum effort. But most of young people who go there for further studies, end working in small restaurants, shops etc. Even in London if a person earns 100000 GBP annually, life is not equal to what a Rs 300K p.a. salaried person enjoys in India.

@@akrishnan1382 you are comparing rich people, iam talking about the common people, people who work for minimum wages have a far better life in london, i mean the people who have citizenship. .gov will help when he have a medical problem or gov will take care of them when they are old...in india if we have money, health and political collections they can live far better life than any other country. .but am talking about the common man, he is struggling all life and many are dying even without travelling any tourist spots outside their state. .in london everyone are travelling other countries or tourist spots in their country every year in their annual leave

@@Izas_Little_World I agree that western countries have better infrastructure and they have a reasonably good social security system. But the government in these countries provide the facilities from the money collected from the taxes collected where majority of public pays taxes. But I have seen people from India living in the UK making a hand to mouth existence despite both husband and wife working there. Firstly, life in the western countries are hugely expensive. Rents, Utility bills, etc are quite high. You cannot hire a part time domestic help as it is hugely expensive. The weather is very bad and you cannot live without heating for at least 8 months. I know people hardly being able to move out for several years just to visit the nearby tourist spots let along travelling to another country. Medical treatment is good but if you are requiring urgent medical help it is next to impossible to get such attention. There are good points as you can do any work there and no one thinks it below dignity. In India and especially in Kerala this is not the case as our false belief about some jobs are depressing. I know of daily wage earning semi skilled worker family n Kerala where the husband and wife together earn Rs 70K monthly. They do not have any vices and spend two day family weekend, going to the beaches, cinemas, driving a car and living in a reasonably good house. After all it is your preference. We need to upgrade our infrastructure and that is happening at a slow pace. It is not the same Kerala or India of 2000 and the way things are progressing it will only get better as the years to go by. Whereas, the sad thing situation in Western Countries are in the reverse direction.

Better standard of living എന്ന് വെച്ചാൽ ഇന്ത്യയിൽ ജന സാന്ദ്രത കുറവാണ് എങ്കിൽ, ജർമ്മനി പോലെ അല്ലേൽ USA പോലെ ഒക്കെ ആണ് എങ്കിൽ പക്ഷേ ഇപ്പൊ ഉള്ള GDP തന്നേ ഉണ്ട് എങ്കില് ഓരോ ആൾക്കും ലഭിക്കുന്ന സൗകര്യങ്ങൾ കൂടും. തിരക്കില്ലാത്ത റോഡുകൾ, എല്ലാവർക്കും സൗജന്യ ഭക്ഷ്യ വസ്തുക്കൾ, സൗജന്യ ചികിത്സ, എല്ലാവർക്കും പെൻഷൻ, മികച്ച യാത്രാ സൗകര്യങ്ങൾ, അങ്ങനെ പലതും.
