thank you for this update...I agree it certainly presents as an auto-immune disease..And a very difficult disease to live with .

8:01 He's absolutely right! "Of all diseases you can get, this is one of the worst!"

The 'stress/coping' patients have already been 'weeded out' mostly, afaik - if any part of the 'regular med system' can help you, you'll never end up going to prof DML's clinic - most if not all of these patients have already seen every other doctor in the country possible Regardless to say that even then there's a whole bunch of different underlying mechanisms in those who go to see him, ranging from thyroid, autoimmune over infectious (mainly tickborne) to other possible causes I am unaware of

As always, many thanks for your compassionate efforts. An interesting interview. The first I believe referring to ME as an auto-immune disease.

Llewellyn King did an excellent job, as usual, in his interview with Dr. Meirleir! Thank you so much.

interesting comments about this on the PR site...some serious, and some quite amusing as well. 1 cute one was "is ME karma for all the pillaging etc. etc. from our Viking ancestors?" !

Viking disease, that is an interesting comment from Dr Merileir

Either way, he doesn't see/treat patients as having a generic illness ME (nor CFS), but just based on whatever individual things tests show are wrong, and meds/supplements may be overlapping to some extent but none of the other patients I know gets the same as I do. Regardless of what 'label' you have, he'll do his best to help you. (so he is not strictly a "ME-doctor" in that regard; mostly just tries to find causes for whatever 'medically unexplainable symptoms' the person comes with)

What patients is he treating or talking about? Every patient in his practice? Infectious, autoimmune, stress, coping. There is no such disease as ME/CFS. Yes, diagnosis is made based on fitting *some* criteria. This disorder? Which one? ME is not CFS or another name for CFS. Why so little understanding? Probably due to this confusing garbled mess.
