I just received my fx9000 today. turned it on and went thru all the updates. tested on a chevrolet equinox with all kinds of issues and it picked up a lot of fault codes I was surprised at how easy it was to use. @@MechanicMindset I have a couple of handheld diagnostic tools that I use. Neither are as comprehensive as the one you have reviewed. For very quick engine diagnostics I use the Ancel AD310 (£35 from Amazon). It connects with the vehicle in 10 seconds, reads codes, gives I/M readiness, and allows you to read a variety of Parameter Identifiers. Quick and easy to use. For ABS and RCM faults I use a Foxwell 650 elite. It’s okay, a bit of a hit or a miss what vehicles it works with. That said you get regular notifications from Foxwell on updates and it’s pretty easy to do.
