Since you have no combustion occurring, the rear axial turbine wheel then becomes a restriction to pure ambient airflow (no hot gasses to drive the axial wheel). If you remove the rear axial wheel, you will gain thrust from lack of restriction.

@@ferce889 unless you count the recent studies on using plasma as a propulsion but nothing large scale has been able to have been made yet so we’ll see, I’m sure he has something in mind that would better fit the description of jet engine but right now he’s just testing geometries so of course he’s not gonna waste metal making prototypes and combusting them, and just because it has an electric motor doesn’t mean it can’t be a combustion turbine, all turbine engines have an electric drive motor to pull air through the intake when it starts and once the jet starts producing thrust, it will take over the job of spinning the turbine via the second turbine on the back, so in all ways is this a model for a jet engine, I’m sure he’s just testing geometries before he makes a legit one

Questions Will the brushless motor consume more energy when placed in the turbine than it would if you just use it without the turbine??
@MechNinja2 жыл бұрын
Yes definitely the brushless motor will consume more energy in turbine...because in turbine it will have to rotate a big load thus increasing the current consumption... But using a propeller...it will consume less current because of less load
@franciscoe.99892 жыл бұрын
@Mech Ninja great Thanks The propeller with motor (1) produces less energy consumption compared to the same motor connected to the shaft of a turbine (2). I get it The question is as follows, case scenario (2) will consume more amps but will Travel faster and a longer range distance than case Scenario (1) that has propeller and a motor????
@MechNinja2 жыл бұрын
@@franciscoe.9989 Actually in mini jet turbine engine, the brushless motor is only used to start the turbine and the energy is produced by fuel combustion. And in propeller configuration, the thrust is produced by propeller itself.... Thus we can't compare both of them.

Hello, I was going to post this on your website, but every time I try, it says error, please try again later. SO here I am. I bought the g code files of the jet engine, and when I went to print them, they all worked fine except parts 9, 10, 11, 12, and 7. Whenever I tried to print these files, my printer would start, and then about 5-10 minutes into the print job, would stop, give me an alarm, and give me a kill reason. "Thermal runaway. Restart required." It isn't doing this with any of the other prints that my printer is working on, is it a translation error maybe?

If there is a thermal runway...that means there is a fault in printer not in the file. But no need to worry. Negative - it would not run at all. It would turn on motor power but other than that it would just get wet and sticky perhaps the fuel would ignite but not under pressure and certainly not produce any thrust
@socheat4433 жыл бұрын
Such a motor would be really nice, I want to create a built-in utility but can not get it

Buy a ducted fan. Much sinpler and much more effective to drive any plane. This is just a mechanical model of a jet engine and is serving only as a pretty ineffective and poor ducted fan.

Is it able to produce 5kg thrust ?

No its just a model. But the real model can....But it is costly.

What if Flitetest/PeterStripol use this mini jet engine
@MechNinja3 жыл бұрын
Yes they can...but it's a model and not an working prototype. Though it has all the necessary parts to work but the problem is its power generation process. Generally these engines are started from the electric motor and then the further process is carried out by internal combustion. But in this model the power is generated by electric motor and hence all other parts acts as a dead weight. You can check my other videos of EDF. Hope you get my point, and thanks for watching and don't forget to subscribe 😊😊😊

So, what was the thrust rating? And did you have a plan for it’s use? I’d love to see what that engine could do!
@MechNinja3 жыл бұрын
I haven't calculated the thrust because it's a model and has the motor as its main power source. Yes I have a plan to make an actual model with internal combustion power source. You can check out my ducted fan videos too.... Thanks for watching and subscribe for more videos like this...😊
@DL-kc8fc3 жыл бұрын
@@MechNinja It is assumed that when you connect an AC motor to the model, the thrust will be expressed in Newtons at the end of the video compared to, for example, a suitable aircraft propeller. :) It follows from the logic of things. It's my fault that I didn't immediately jump to the end of the video to verify my assumption. :) Not to be critical, I praise 3D printing. I work professionally at Catia, so I also evaluate this page positively. :)

Bro its a mini jet engine model. Its not a working prototype because it is fully 3D printed and I can't use the internal combustion. Here the power source is electric motor and thus some parts are just acting like dead weight. But I am in the process of developing an actual prototype.
