I've been disabled with PTSD since 2011. For EIGHT years I tried to get Kaiser to approve this, as I watched the PTSD get worse. Sadly, Medicare is no better. If only these treatments would be available for those who don't have the most expensive insurance. I already get cervical nerve ablations, which don't look much different. Not scary at all. Thank you for the video, though, and, as always, we appreciate your kindness. :-)

@TheHarryleemartin I actually spoke with one of the vendors a few months back, and it's spendy. That said, I'm still considering it because of the extreme discomfort my ptsd symptoms regularly cause me. My ptsd symptoms started at the age of 3, so it's been with me nearly my entire life. Hey unrelated to this particular video but I just wanted to say: I’ve been dreading a surgery (parathyroidectomy) I was scheduled for because I was terrified of being under general anesthesia and possible injury to the laryngeal nerve (nerve that controls your vocal chords for anyone who doesn’t know) and wouldn’t be able to speak. It’s an extremely small risk but being an extremely anxious person, I was petrified for a month all the way to the surgery center. BUT your videos definitely helped me out a bit with my uncertainty. I got through it and the surgery went very well. Thanks a bunch for your content ❤

I would LOVE something like this for my anxiety. I have been getting nerve blocks for occipital neuralgia since 2016. It just suddenly hit me. The night before I felt nervousness and my body wouldn’t stay still to sleep. I woke up with the worst headache of my life & laid in a dark room for 3 days until I called my dr. He ignored me and by that time my neck was hurting bad. He told me I sprang my neck! 🤬🤬🤬. It took two weeks to get an MRI bc my dr refused. I had to go to pain management and the dr there ordered one and it wasn’t good when it came back. The dr was mad and said this is malpractice. I didn’t care I wanted out of pain. He gave me nerve blocks and I felt a bit better ina few days. He also suggested Ketamine and I was afraid of it and said no. I was on medication for anxiety, insomnia and depression so it scared me to death. What does the Ketamine do for a person? Is it a better alternative than antidepressants and anxiety medication? I would love to stop the medication.

Thanks, doc. 360mg of controlled release propranalol had similar results for me. Like throwing a switch within days of taking the first dose. (started low, then worked up to 360mg). I could talk about how ketamine has revolutionised paramedicine all day. First started using it 20 years ago for analgesia, RSI, sedation, and if needed, an 'off' switch for combative patients. I actually know a guy who's trying Ketamine (microdosing), as a treatment for complex PTSD. He told me he feels like he's experiencing certain domains in his life like a child again, except this time, he's more in charge of dealing with the emotion his experiences invoke. The biggest gain by far is his sobriety. He stopped drinking, and not only has he managed to stop, he said the 'desire to drink' is gone. He's a changed man .

The psychiatrist I have recently started seeing seems to be very similar and I’m super excited for my sublingual treatments. I will talk with him about IV as well. I’ve only had 3 25mg doses so far and I can’t really say definitive that it’s grabbed ahold and started doing its thing.. I am doing a 100mg sublingual in office this Thursday so we will see where that takes me in my treatment for depression and anxiety. I am at the point to put tubes in my own ears. It’s excruciating and no one cares. Hey Doc I wanted to say thanks for the information I have several issues I am dealing with due to PTS. I have night terrors since 1996, another incident in 2 in 2007, 1 in 2010. I know on the last part I can never step into a dentist office unless I wear noise canceling headphones with earplugs. When I drive or if I am a passenger I get so many triggers I pretty much only drive maybe 2 times every 6 weeks. The smell of burning oil, tar, or burnt rubber tires. I have had to pull over from hi-ways before due to triggers were my heart rate in a dentist office was over 220 blood pressure. Along with the PTS I also have chronic pain due to two genetic issues with my back which I take mega painkillers for each day. There have been many times when I can not even move my neck or back unless I take remicade to walk.

Even with long-acting local anaesthetic, for a few hours. It’s because the sympathetic in the neck is partly responsible for lifting the eyelid and increasing the pupil diameter, so when you block that nerve, it can’t do its job. Only temporary though, while the other effects last.

Wow, my doctor uses the ultrasound & 1 needle 2 jabs, no saline. Half the time I get massive bruises too🤦🏼‍♀️ is he short cutting the procedure? I’ve felt that this office is pushing these shots & a few others just for a check from insurance 🤷‍♀️

Hi Doctor! I have severe anxiety with panic attacks that is only cured by being at home. I am terrified of having surgery, having a panic attack, and cannot go home. Does listening to music while under anesthesia during surgery help with anxiety and panic after surgery because the music is calming and takes away the sounds from noise in the room during surgery? thanks for any advise you can give. Sincerely, too scared to move forward in my physical health (I do take ativan, gabapentin, toprol, and lamictal)

Interestig you are speaking on this today. I have multiple diagnoses which affect the Sympathetic Nervous System and cause Dysautonomia. The most prevalent, I believe, is Addisson's Disease. Along with the AD, I have Spastic Paraplegia. I have always wondered if this type of block could also help calm down my set of odd symptoms of my Dysautonomia. I guess the closes disease would be Aderenomyeloneuropathy.

He might if Dr K leaves livestream chat replay on. Dr K might have removed one of his, consider that. On the last livestream he was asked to leave it on so I could replay it after work but Dr K turned it off. I wish he would stop doing that so I can watch when not at work.

I hope this helps him in the long-term. I stay hyper vigilant due to trauma from childhood and have a DX of OCD, Panic Disorder, Dysthymia and a past history of anorexia. Wonder if something like this could help people like myself. I have been on psych meds for anxiety for decades! Unfortunately, I will most likely be on them for life. I also suffer with migraines and neck pain: had whiplash X3!!

Hello from Australia 🇦🇺 I have a question. A while ago I watched a really interesting video where Dr Kaveh talked about “passive suicidal ideation” (PSI). I can’t find the video again. Does anyone know the video I’m referring to? Gosh, I have the worst brain fog, I hope I’m thinking of the right video and haven’t hugely embarrassed myself!!

I have EDS, Hyperandregenic Dysautonomia, MCAS, Chronic Daily Migraines, Chronic nausea and Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome. My standing and laying nor-epinephrine test was the highest my doctor had ever seen. I am pretty much disabled and in bed 95% of the time. My pain and inflammation is constant and intense. I also have the gene that makes opioids and anesthesia not work very well. I get steroid injections in my neck and back every 3 months for DDD. Would this treatment help me? My body is so reactive to everything because of the MCAS and Dysautonomia. I am so desperate! I have tried Ketamine once…but didn’t notice anything but a rebound headache.

The sympathetic seems to act like a working memory stuck in overactive mode. Reboot and overactivity goes away (provided it’s the root cause of one’s problems).

As I looked into medication’s neutrophil peptides whatever reason I keep putting this gang blocked off probably because of the cost without insurance, but I would say I have those issues and always have trouble concentrating brain fog, malaise fatigue, so I guess probably time to revisit this

Does insurance cover this procedure? I need to do something... whether it's this or it's ketamine infusions.... something. My stress from life, anxiety I gave always had my evite life... that got worse after my youngest son was born with an of his issues... then now my chronic pain and autoimmune disease.... I'm never out of fight or flight... I get high cortisol from being in fight or flight so much and from my chronic pain... something like this could maybe help me be back to before the cortisol. I might sleep again and possibly lose some of this weight...
