My grandfather died from this cancer today. I miss him so much. Had so many good memories. If only he hadn't gotten the cancer in the first place.... R.I.P James Hince. 1948-2021

Excellent video. A complicated disease laid out in a very understandable way. Thank-you.

My Grandmom is dying from it, she only has a day to live. Just visited her and she can barely communicate. I cried so hard seeing her a purplish blue color and can barely open her eyes. She is so thin and weak. Luckily she won’t suffer anymore.

I'm so sorry for your loss. My grandfather just died from this type of cancer today. Fortunately, he died in his sleep without no pain. So happy he died at home with his family.

I have BIA-ALCL which is classed as an aggressive ALK negative T cell lymphoma but its such a new and emerging lymphoma that its difficult to understand, even for haematologists/oncologists. That said, this video, in layman's terms, was helpful... thank you.

In the ann-arbor staging system there are extralymphatic sites and you said that there is no extranodal in hodgkin lymphoma
@MedicosisPerfectionalis6 жыл бұрын
What I meant is; there are extra lymphatic sites but not as common as Non-Hodgkin’s...Every comparison is like that...We generalize.

Believe it or not i first noticed an enlarged lymphnode in 2006 on the right side of my groin as i was having a shower.. being a complete coward i never visited any doctor and just hoped it would go away...i never touch this area as i take a shower neither do i look at it...but i know its always there...over years i noticed it got much bigger...additionaly my hairdresser noticed an enlarged lymphnode on my neck 2 years ago...of course i often get nightsweats especially during summer...this past august i suffered from night itching on my right arm for 2 weeks...then it went away...i got a blood test and all my blood values seem perfectly ok...is it possible for someone to have lymphoma for 13 years, totally untreated and even undiagnosed and go on with their lives?....follicular and too lazy or too kind with me?
@MedicosisPerfectionalis5 жыл бұрын
I think you should discuss this with your doctor

Is the median survival rate without treatment? Or if you have someone with diffuse B cell, they’re looking at 1-2 years with or without treatment?

Doesn't hodgkin lymphoma have extra nodal involvement in stage IV disease
@MedicosisPerfectionalis Жыл бұрын
Sure! The point is that extra-nodal involvement is way more common in Non-Hodgkin’s than Hodgkin’s.

hi what type of anaemia do you get with NHL - is it normocytic ?
@MedicosisPerfectionalis6 жыл бұрын
Yes, most of the time it’s normocytic normochromic

Hi, why agressive NHLs are worse than indolent ? Indolents are curable though.
@MedicosisPerfectionalis6 жыл бұрын
It’s like saying having no money is better than being in debt (negative net worth) although being in debt is curable with bankruptcy...The first option is still better...Did you get the idea? Indolent lymphomas don’t kill you in the same manner that aggressive ones do
