So, first of all, gg for the win ! I did for my first challenge a Lotad only run by the rules you use and my god that was brutal !! To win, I was forced to use double team, PP ups on all the damaging moves, have the bell that heal on damage and a lot of luck... I won it at level 98 by managing my PP's well enough to go pass tentacruel and water Onix ;). For the rest, lots of grinding moments and a hate for thoses pokemon : Magneton from the 3rd gym, Kingdra from the 8th gym (by far the worst) and the 2 above.

@Jackson Plays Good to know. In my opinion there's only six particularly hard fights in the game, in this relative order: 1. Knuckles vs Triple Guard Robo 2. Emerl vs Eggman 3. Emerl vs Knuckles (Sonic's Story) 4. Rouge vs Amy & Dream-Sonic 5: Emerl vs Sonic and Shadow 6: Emerl vs Amy and Cream Honestly it's surprising how good everyone except Rouge's AI actually is.

Tactical analysis of the run. Double package, served with lettuce. 1/ Despite the mind melt, you should have probably searched for a non -Atk Seedot. Seedot's stick in this run is that it can learn physical attack that lotad can't or won't use (ShadowBall, Dig, Return, Explosion). Having -Atk is a serious dump on that, and it showed in a couple of instances (E4 mostly). 2/ Shadow Ball on Reynolds could have helped in taking down Xatu first (which is the higher threat in the T&L fight, since it resists grass and it's super effective on it). 3/ Have you checked hidden power on Silver? I'd say Reynolds as well but he probably should be carrying Shadowball instead. This was a rough challenge. Good job on the video. Keep it up!

That was surprisingly brutal. Better coverage than some other runs, but the stats (or lack thereof) just made all the difference. I do idly wonder whether different natures/EVs/IVs might have changed the outcome - but I'm not interested in you grinding that sort of thing for the minor potential change, to be clear. That would be a lot of work for minimal increase in interesting decisions to see for the viewers.

Hey, I've been watching your challenge runs for a while now, this is my first time commenting. I think I found your channel either via your Shedinja-only run, or your no-Pokecenter run. Either way, I thought of a challenge that might be a nice break (or nightmare, depending on how things go). How about an OHKO-only run? You can only use OHKO moves like Fissure, Sheer Cold, etc. It would basically just come down to accuracy luck and speed, so it might not be that interesting for a video, but I thought you might like the suggestion anyways. :)

Thanks for this awesome video. Word of advice for future Emerald runs: after the 5th gym, you can use Pokenav Match Call to fight registered trainers. A good place to exploit it is Route 117, with 6 suitable and easy to trigger trainers. This way you could speed up late game grinding considerably.

I think this challenge would have been better with just Seedot. Its movepool is far more impractical & limited. Also, Steven aside, most challenges are doable with 1 Pokemon. 2 is far easier.j At least it's nice to see Explosion getting use. Neat video! Thanks for uploading!
