That was trippy, yeah. Thankfully, it really came in clutch. Goes to show even games this old still have neat, hidden stuff to discover. Gen1's spaghetti code was wild, but that Meowth is in the running for one of my favorite poke-glitches.

Here's an interesting challenge concept: Consider trying Pokemon Black with only N's team. You can make your starter a Zorua, and then just catch the Pokemon he catches each time. That could be neat.

A neat twist you could do for the rival team runs, and could even redo some since the teams in some games can vary pretty hard, is to replace the starter so you can mirror the rival. So like, for water starter team, replace the fire starter so both of you start with water starter example.

The Meowth Clause feels like such a double-edged sword. On the one hand, yes it is a broken pokemon. On the other hand, the fact that seeing one adds the Hardcore Nuzlocke rules to MDB's run really changes the stakes.

Wow, that Steven fight was intense. I can't believe he had a Level 85 Meowth and gave it a Steel Chair. Good thing your Tropius stomped a mudhole in him, winning you the run. Meatross! Also, starting with Emerald, there are certain Berries you can find that will lower a Pokemon's EVs, which could come in handy if you want to, for example, remove some Special Attack EVs on a physical attacker, or drop some Speed to use an HP Up, something like that.

Amazing run, the only downside is the cliffhanger of an ending. At least in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire our rival's Pokemon team is a lot better and they even fully evolved too. You're doing a fantastic job doing these challenges even though they are tough and annoying. Also remember to always take breaks and enjoy yourself cause self care is very important.
