I love these guys . I have one of my own for over a year named Ketchup ! He loves to show off his sometimes sub-par feeding skills , like the time he jumped and flipped on his back in excitement when it was food time .

They are amazing. Where I live, in Canada, these bullfrogs are considered an invasive species, due to people releasing their pets into local waterways. They are destroying the local eco systems as they have no natural predators, are so much larger than our native species, and there is no "dry" season to slow them down. Conservation officers are having to trap and remove them, but the damage is done.

We won't try to simulate a dry season simply because it's not needed for their health. It would be different if we were trying to breed them, but since we're not then there's no reason to attempt it.
