Besides dying, this happened to me 3 days ago. I was sitting on the tram on my way home, and outta the corner of my eye I kept noticing this girl who was more or less staring at me. I had the gumbo to look at her and oh my god I swear this girl was an angel on earth. I was supposed to get off in a couple minutes, and she never really stopped looking at me. When I pressed the stop button I saw her jolt for a split second, as if awakening from a trance. When I stood up to get off, I stopped for 3 seconds and looked her in the eyes. I could tell she wanted to get off with me, or for me to at least ask or nod at her. But I just panicked and got off. As the tram started leaving, I was walking and cursing at myself, I looked up and her hand was on the window and she was looking right at me. It turned the corner and I've hated myself ever since. I live in a city with 200,000 people in it, so the chances of me ever seeing her again are slim to none. But God do I hope so

yeah, or when you know you'll never have a chance with them or ruin multiple friendships and your relationship with the person for being too sudden with them. I met a guy that I crushed on the first time I met him, I find it really hard to form connections with people but everything felt right with him. Fast forward I didn't see him for months, I was at my friends 18th and he was there, for some reason people thought we were a couple, we barely even talked to each other the whole time at the party. I get very anxious in social situations and I prefer to stand back, but as the night went on we spent hours and hours talking to each other, we had so much in common, morals, interests and ideologies it was actually scary. I would start to say things and he'd legit guess what I was going to say next to the point where we were laughing so much from how similar we were. Since then we've become really good friends and it's kind of strange because my friends mum thinks we'll get together eventually. I've caught up with him a few times since and I was so scared to think I like him, I mean, we connect so deeply on so many levels but at the same time he's not the guy I ever thought I'd find myself falling for. But I just don't see how it could ever work out, we have quite a vast age difference and because he's practically family (a really close friend and family friend) I could never ruin our friendship.

Yea she looks better than him, but I mean she's wearing much more ambitious make-up than he is, I'd like to see this scene shot with both fresh out of the shower. It's crazy to compare someone to someone wearing a ton of make-up. Like comparing your benchpress to a dude's who is wearing a bench-shirt

Always loved this movie...I remember going to the theaters three times to see this movie when it was released. Then buying it twice on VHS tape and even have the DVD copy. Something spiritual about this movie. And oh so romantic too. Don't watch it much nowadays, but this movie will always be one of my favorites.

Keep in mind both leads are non-religious. The central message of the movie is love, for life and others. That transcends religious beliefs.

smurfyday Hmmmm...you make a good point about 'love transcending religious beliefs.' Funny how just this week I had this same conversation with a Pakistani Muslim guy friend who asked me (being that I am a Christian), if given the chance to marry a Muslim guy would I convert to his religion, Islam. I told him 'when GOD ordains two people to marriage, regardless of religious differences, GOD destined those two people to be together and with that they will love and respect each other in spite of their religious differences.' I told him that I would not convert and that I do not expect or will not ask him to convert. If religious differences is the issue, then they aren't meant to be. One must listen to GOD for HE is the deciding factor🛐. Always GOD first IMO.

I think people are too cynical and dead inside, which is why this movie's so underrated. Claire Forlani was just so radiant and cute and I'm sure Brad Pitt does the same for most ladies as Forlani did for me. But they brought great acting chops along with the looks. A few greats in the supporting casts, incl. obviously Anthony Hopkins. More intelligent than the most rom-coms and even the ending did not stoop to the average Hollywood fare. There's an artistic beauty to go with it all.

To be honest, Brad was very handsome back then. For sure. But it's the Blond Hair highlights that really adds to it. Before him, the same thing had a great effect to the appeal of Robert Redford in his heyday. Redford has naturally Reddish Brown hair. If you ever saw Redford's movie "The Way We Were." It's freaking hard to take your eyes off his beautiful blond HIGHLIGHTED hair. Seeing both these movies, no question I should myself have Blond highlighted my own hair when I was in my 20's. No doubt it would have enhanced my sex appeal with the ladies. (LOL) Wonder if Redford was ever interviewed about his hair color techniques for his film career? Think I will have to research that a bit.

It's like seeing someone for the first time, like you can be passing on the street, and you look at each other for a few seconds, and there's this kind of a recognition like you both know something. Next moment the person's gone, and it's too late to do anything about it. And you always remember it because it was there, and you let it go, and you think to yourself, 'What if I had stopped? What if I had said something?' What if, what if... it may only happen a few times in your life.- Jack Foley(Out of sight 1998)
