Get back with me when you can make a robot that can clean house, cook meals, and run errands.

Yours for only $1,999. Little steep for a toy.

Meanwhile others are complaining I'm sure that this whole generation of robots is just a beginning. These companies need support and they cannot produce what hasn't been created. Don't raise your expectation too high, be supportive everyone. People who truly have money will buy and raise their budgets. In time we will see improvements and slowly we the middle class will be able to afford the robots we want to.

So you mean no one should be attempting to show motivation at creating robots and making them relevant. You still expect too much for robots and AI at this age TonyQuackston. There is nothing anyone can offer in 2018 just the idea and the image of what things could be. You are technically saying that if a company or a starter doesn't make the robot you believe is a 100% not just the image or just idea which offers truly detailed and cutting edge tech then it doesn't deserve to even be mentioned or made. Sadly things don't work this way with human progress. Look at Elon Musk. He is still trying to improve (making what he promised them truly to be also raise his budget) his cars even though they aren't so cutting edge tech but he inspired others and pushed even companies to create fresh cutting edge tech we haven't got as consumers in so many years. I hope you see what I'm trying to tell you. I hope we can agree on both parts.

When I watched this thing 1st thing I thought of was "I wonder how my two dogs would relate to something like this" ;-).

This is a crazy price but I remember 20 years ago a mid-level laptop PC would cost you 2 grand and people would line up to buy them

Misty is pretty cool! She kind of reminds me of the robot, Circuit, from "Power Rangers: Time Force", but without the flight capabilities.

Until a robot can clean up after my cats when they miss the litter box and take my dogs out to their pen for their 'business' and get them back in- WITHOUT being dragged for blocks- (I have a BIG dog) I couldnt care less.

Why do robots IRL look so lame? I want them to look like RoboCop or Xan from UT.

I recommend getting an EZ-Robot developer kit. A little computer brain that's easy to program, a handful of servos, various sensors... You could easily toss these components into a RoboCop model and turn it into the robot of your dreams.

Robots in real life just suck. We're soo slow. They feel more like toys than what we want.
