Great activity. 5 trains running, if I counted right. No switches on the main lines is the way to go. I have 4 main lines with 3 switches on one of the mains. I need to have a spotter helping out if I run all 4 at the same time. I have to keep anything with the sliding auto-coupler shoes off the main with the switches. Some nice metal fabrication work you do.

Yes, five---if I wanted to live on the edge--which I do once in awhile---I'll run six---0 gauge and std at the same time on the five rail track. No switches , no crossings --I did have some at one time but slider and roller pickups don't always like them---I've had slider shoes get caught and almost pulled off.

@@keithwood638 Lots of prewar tinplate still out there. I started in Lionel PreWar 0 right after I got out of the Navy in 73. I've still got most of what I bought.

Steven...the variety of items and topics in your films are teriffic. The cast iron soldiers look right in place on the layout. And the new engine makes me feel like a kid again. She's a beauty. We're freezing are butts off here in Maine with several inches of snow every few days. Life is good...thank you. 👍

@@jimmelchin1531If you like American Revolutionary War historical fiction. The main characters are fictional, the events true. Written in the 30s and events out of Main towns, Arundel and Kittery. At the time the books were written, the were hailed as being historically accurate. I read a number of his books after I got married, that, Yankee magazine and four years in the Navy made me develop a love for the East Cost. The original 13 colonies. The true Yankees though are from the northern part. Main and that area around there reminds me of a poem about the sea and ships. There was a time, before our time, and it shall not come again, when the best ships were wood ships but the men were iron men. Clipper Ships and Captains. Rosemary and Stephen Vincent Benet.
