Awesome! Hope things keep going on the up for him. Ya those odd moves people like to criticize can come in handy once in a while. Im the nerd at our club that keeps everyone on their toes and ready for those odd maneauvers. The same guy that will pass by 3 different arm bar possibilities only to attack a guys shoulder for some reason, because thats what i was going for. Just like on tekken, they wonder why i keep moving in the same pattern but not really doing anything, and its because i have to hit that angular move that nobody does, and it doesnt do enough damage for how difficult it is to pull off, but for some reason i have to do it because its my destiny, so i continue to side step and duck, than punch at their feet until i get it. Only for it not to hit them, because they know im up to something, and have backed away, so than the fight proceeds once i do get it, with no real result coming out of it, other than quenching some odd mental tick. The cage is a very underutilized tool when grappling iv recently learnt. Years prior we never trained with a barrier, but at our new club, they almost cant be avoided, and its amazing how much of a difference it makes. If a person plans on competing in mma, grappling agains the cage should be a whole study of itself.

Hey Ramsey I have a question about dealing with injuries, maybe you have some advice for me; I went into my 2nd fight (Muay Thai) with a back injury, and ended up hurting it much worse during my fight. I finished the match and eked out a win, but the injury was severe to the point of walking with a cane for several months and I was hunched and crooked for about 6 months. I’ve been running my own gym and teaching classes at the Y for about 3 years now, and while I was very hands off for a long time I was never really able to take time off and just focus on recovery, I also work a second job and homeschool my kid so I’m generally very busy. To get to my point, I’m finally “better” a year later, but my back is consistently tight and gets reinjured very easily, and I’m starting to worry it would be too much of a risk for me to compete again. My wife is certainly against the idea, since last time I fought it basically took me out of commission for a long time. Idk man, I guess I’m just wondering how you got past the idea of not being able to compete anymore after your injury and if you have any advice for me. I still spar consistently and I love it but it’s obviously not the same and I was really hoping to get at least a few more fights under my belt before being forced to give it up.Thanks for your time man, as always I appreciate you and your content.

Hello Ramsey. I have been watching your videos for quite a few years and would know far less than I do if not for you. Of course, I still don't know nearly enough. I am trying to make videos of my own, largely inspired by your tales of doing it to become better at speaking. I am not very good at it at all but I am pushing on because I am sure I will have to make dozens of them before I learn enough to be very good. I remember that a few months ago, you asked for people to say if they would like to appear in one of your discussion videos. I would like to try that, if you are still interested in featuring other people. I cannot promise to be knowledgeable or very good, but I can certainly promise to be nice. :) I think you don't always see replies posted, depending on how busy you are. I will post this once or twice more if you don't see it, this time, but will try not to be annoying. Thank you for the incredible wealth of knowledge and inspiration you have given to many of us.

Why do you say Bruce Lee wasn't a "Real Fighter"? It's well documented that Bruce not only trained Joe Lewis, but beat him, and Joe admitted it. Same for Chuck Norris, although he won't admit it, because it would hurt his career. So, from your perspective, no matter how many wins in street fights, and other unsanctioned fights, unless it's in the ring they're not a "real fighter'?
