@samanthavaldivia45605 жыл бұрын
@@paigenorkus7047 honestly not really, it depends on the fish of course but they're actually quite expensive in terms of total cost. fish are very delicate and most people don't want to pay a lot for a fish so they don't get the right tank size for them. plus unless the parents are going to be invested as taking on the fish as theirs than go ahead because a small child will not know about water quality, proper diet, tank size, water changes, ect.. :/

yesssss! I told my fiance that after our last guinea pig passes away we will not be getting more. While I love my guinea pigs and wouldn't change the fact I got them, they're so hard to care for. I feel like no matter how hard I try to give them the best and do the best I can, it's never perfect because things always come up with guinea pigs. They also have a whole world of medical issues that you need to keep a close eye on because they will go south very quickly. They definitely should not be considered a kid pet.

I’ve had rabbits for a long time. A few hacks here - 1: Use the pelleted wood bedding (typical made for horses) in their litter pans, it’s cheaper and last way longer -2: buy the hay in BULK it’s sooooo much easier and cheaper -3: check to see if your local shelter spays/neuters rabbits, it can be wayyyy cheaper. My rabbits were $50 each vs $350 at the vet. -4: just let the bunny free roam in a room, you won’t have to buy a cage and they will be cheaper!! LOVE THIS VIDEO!!! 💕

I did the 4th one before I moved out of my parents' house! My mom didn't want him inside, so he was living in a hutch for a little while which I hated (I got him before I knew how dangerous this actually is, so learn from my mistake people and do your research before!). But I had my room rabbit-proofed for when he'd play in my room, and one night I was watching a video in bed while he was having playtime in my room and I fell asleep. He was just chilling when morning came and I sort of just moved him into my room. My mom just told me "if he ruins anything, then you're paying for it." There was never an issue haha ! And now he free roams my rabbit-proofed apartment whenever I'm awake and home. I just have him confined to a pretty large hallway when I'm not awake or home to supervise just for safety reasons.

Beautiful video on bunnies! They are so much work, but so worth it! They really do bond with you and it’s just something to treasure! Out bunnies free roam, bond with the cats and are just amazing! Care recommendations seem to vary youtuber to youTuber...site to site... which can be confusing to anyone who lacks personal experience. Please don’t get a bunny unless you’re ready to work for and with him or her. They aren’t easy! They aren’t Easter gifts. They aren’t for rough little kids unless you’re able to consistently and constantly watch and educate your child. Thanks for such a great video!!!❤️

Massages, gut motility meds every 12 hours, gas drops every 3 hours, and pain meds every 24 hours. Keeping them warm if giving sub q fluids and supplemental feeding. Plus they need as much room as a cat or dog.

Bag of pine horse stall bedding at tractor supply for $5 -both of my rabbits have a DIY cage made out of C&C Grids, which I held together With zip ties, and it’s great because you can make it as big as you like. I totally agree with you! We have 3 cats, a chameleon (that we found on the street in NJ) and a guinea pig. The guinea pig is the most high maintenance animal we have. Cage cleaning, nail trimming, grooming, food. We spend so much money on the guinea pig. He gets a salad every night and hay all day plus his kibble to eat. We spend about $250 a month on him. Definitely not an easy animal for a child. 💛

My rabbit definitely is expensive and unfortunately I can not afford to spay her or get her a friend, but she seems pretty happy and my cats are always around her so I feel she doesn’t seem lonely. sometimes they groom her which she oddly loves. She will always run up to one of my cats and put her head down in front of him to get groomed haha. I’ve had her for 3 years & I love her so much I couldn’t imagine my life without her. I got her impulsively at a pet store with no knowledge but I’m so glad I had the Internet to show me the way Quickly. she definitely is a healthy and happy bunny. Thank you so much for speaking about the fact that rabbits need a mate! It is so important! I've often noticed that in the U.S., many people seem to think having one rabbit is fine. Luckily here in the Netherlands, it has been widely accepted that you must have more than one. Also, I would always recommend to keep a neutered male with a (spayed) female, because two males will almost always fight to the death, and two females without males present will also fight often. Sidenote, I have six pets, and my rabbits are by far the most expensive and time consuming :) but I love them so much! They are worth every penny

At one point I had 2 rabbits and a guinea pig... Way too many cages to clean, veggies to cut up, play time outside of the cage, etc. One of my rabbits also had some issues, so she was even more maintenance than a normal rabbit. We think she was dropped or something as a baby and her leg was broken and never set, so it healed all kinds of messed up. We also think she was blind in one eye, which make her super skittish to movement since she didn’t always see you coming at her, and this made her aggressive. We literally fed her with a potholder on because she would bite when you stuck your hand in the cage to feed her or get her out. She was super sweet once you had her trust, but initial movements always freaked her out. She also needed baths often because of her broken leg and not being able to clean herself properly. Lots of work compared to my cats or dogs. Also spaying for females especially should be done because cancer is a very big cause of death in unspayed females. No one ever told us to get our rabbits fixed and unfortunately our female got pretty bad cancer in her uterus and we had to put her to sleep when she stopped eating and lost her spunk one day. We had no idea and felt horrible.
