This is very interesting! Since very little is known about this species of snail, every report is extremely valuable! Please keep us updated.

I have two adults in a 15 litre tank by themselves,I had know idea what sexes they were when I got them so wasn't sure they would breed but low and behold I now have three babies! You should add some drift wood and rocks for the bio film to collect on they seem to in joy grazing on it. Thanks for the video

@@RussellGrant-l4y apparently you can determine sex but only when they are out of their shells. Cheers
@slayer34713 күн бұрын
Apparently the way to sex them is the males right antenna is thicker and curved, whereas the female antenna are both straight and thin. Hope this helps.

This is exciting! I’m so glad that they are alive and staying that way under your care! Congratulations on your baby! They are funny looking little critters. They really are very slow, even compared to regular snails😂 Have you seen them do anything in a deliberate manner? Like have they moved toward any food? It must be a little nerve-racking to have tiny creatures that nobody really knows anything about. You will be the worldwide expert on blueberry snails!

Sorry about your kidney. I hope it's doing well in its new owner, haha. 😅 Interesting critters. So they are livebearers? Or does a juvenile split off from the main body? Good luck with the breeding project. 👍
@IMaquaАй бұрын
@@frankvermeulen4621 they are live bearing snails, yes. But compared to guppies they only give one baby a month. I will be getting more live bearing snails soon, Tylomelania and Tylomelania mini AKA rabbit snails.
