The little 1.9L ALH just fits better in my Miata and I've had the engine donor '03 Jetta sitting around for a while so I figured why not. I'm backing it with an AX15 transmission from a two wheel drive Jeep Cherokee XJ. Already have the engine sitting in a modified K-member from a junkyard Miata.

My friends laughed at me when I compared these to Fiat Topolino's over a decade ago. They have a lower drag coefficient than most supercars and you can sell off the parts you don't need pretty quick. I thought a budget long bed S-10 frame swap under a flood car would be a good way to go fast and mess with most people at the time. They are showing up in junkyards regularly now. Pretty smart build for the strip if you think about it, plus I always liked the idea of burnouts in a Prius. 295 ft lbs. from 0-1200 RPM? Wished the traction control system had a glitch from the factory ;)
