The Artemis program is already a mess lol. I do not have faith in NASA in its current constitution. I can’t say the new guy will be better, but I can say that what we have now is completely and totally unacceptable. Isaacman’s company, Draken international, which he now sold, works exclusively with national governments and departments of defense around the globe, so he has plenty of experience navigating government bureaucracy, I can say that much.

SLS Orion is a total waste of valuable resources that if employed will result in a confused, complex lunar program which in the end DELAYS advancement. Just add resources to SpaceX to get it done right, simple and cheap.

SLS is the brute force method of getting to the moon, yes its conceptually "easy", rely's on known technology and has been proven to work as its basically the same as Apollo. But it is a huge waste of time, we have done Apollo, we went to the moon and planted a flag, the cold war is over, why are we doing the same thing again? The goal now is supposed to be to sustainably go to the moon, to create a permanent presence etc SLS is not suitable for that, we know it is not because those where the plans for Apollo, we tried it and it did not work, it was too expensive and nobody wanted to support such a expensive program. So why are we trying the exact same thing again. Particularly when there are alternative options around, that seem to be way more economical and sustainable. The answer is that SLS is a political jobs program, its not designed to work, its designed to make jobs so politicians get voted in again.
