Love my OP-1 - but I really hope they get better at customer service. Support and issue resolution horror stories are out there. Maybe exaggerated? But as a company I would hope they'd be concerned and get out in front of these issues.

Dean Sabatino I emailed them like 2 months ago, and a few days ago I got a survey for how the customer service was hahah I didn't even get a response
@lecliche88495 жыл бұрын
Yes I hear you @@jakewelch.design . The exact same thing happened to me. Twice. I had an issue with my OP1. A month went by with no reply. Then I get a message to rate their customer service. I then had an issue with another product (the new modular). I got charged for shipping even though it should have been free. I wrote. Another month, no reply. Message to rate their customer service. LOL. As far as I can see, they have no customer service right now. That's not good enough. I love their products but they need to get their shit together and answer their emails.
@nsjx5 жыл бұрын
Wow, I very much appreciate you mentioning this because I was seriously considering jumping in with the 400 series modular (the next batch). Have either of you tried a tweet to their Twitter account? Maybe that will awaken them to the communications issue.
@lecliche88495 жыл бұрын
I contacted my local dealer and he helped me with the OP1. As for the second issue, I've sort of given up on that, resigned to the fact that TE are like the Ryanair of synths when it comes to customers, they'll treat you like shit but as long as you're aware of that in advance, you don't expect anything more. Everything is fine until something goes wrong. Then its everyone for themselves. @@nsjx

So, Teenage Engineering is pretty much the synth version of Hammer and Chisel (the guys that made Discord)?I won't be surprised if these people just disappear in a cash scam or something. Their customer support is pretty much non-existent, while the OP-1 is being sold at almost 2k in some places.. You're close to that goal already.

I wanted the opportunity to purchase an OP-1 and it has come. I received my 1st OP-1 on Friday 22nd. I am very happy with it and learning its features and the work flow to become a skilled instrumentalist. I am very grateful to Teenage Engineering for continuing to produce and invest themselves in the OP-1, making it available to the next generation. TE is a great company that has made an iconic instrument. One indication of this is how polarized people have become.
