I also was born missing my left forearm, it's never stopped me, I've always felt as if it's held me back but seeing this video just shows that we can do anything, and that I should embrace my arm. I'd love to have one of these when I'm older, I'm only 15 at the moment, but from when I was younger and Would get called names it's amazing how now this generation understand and don't judge, they don't treat you differently. And yes there's always the hatred but that's what makes yuk stronger. This is probably so cringeworthy but I found this video really interesting so thanks for uploading it.

This is great, and truely uplifting, but the unspoken issue is the fact that in order to get work, she must use the prosthetic. I'm sure her employers are concerned that nobody wants to see her stub of an arm. She is undoubtedly a beautiful person, with or without the prosthesis, I wish the industry she works for could see that. ✌

I like how these new prosthetic limbs don't attempt to look "real" with fake skin and hair. Those plastic limbs always looked like a weird facsimile and I always thought it's be better to just make them look sleek and mechanical, with sharp lines and LED lights for no reason other than looking cool. It's neat to see that becoming more common place.

It's interesting that the new "high tech" prosthetics are still using the original method of muscle contraction to control movement. My step-dad's old fashioned hook hand prosthetic uses a wire attached to his biceps muscle to open and close his hook.

True working bionics require INTEGRATION into the body, otherwise the miniature reflexes that help streamline our movements cant be fed directly into the processor of the limb, having a bionic prosthesis should be/feel strangely natural.
