MEET Wally - the 5ft, 60lb, federally-licensed emotional support alligator. Owned by Joie Henney, from Pennsylvania, Joie's house boasts a variety of reptiles, ranging from bearded dragons to ball pythons. The reptile that steals the show, however, is the four-year-old Wally, who has a special place in Joie's heart. Joie told Truly: "He's far from a typical alligator, he loves cuddling and he loves giving kisses". As well as having full run of the house, Wally is regularly taken out for walks to parks, malls and even restaurants.

Tia Nik “Birds are a group of feathered theropod dinosaurs, and constitute the only living dinosaurs. Likewise, birds are considered reptiles in the modern cladistic sense of the term, and their closest living relatives are the crocodilians. Birds are descendants of the primitive avialans (whose members include Archaeopteryx) which first appeared about 160 million years ago (mya) in China.” From Wikipedia. It’s important to note that “Dinosaur” refers to an entire class of animals like how Mammals and Reptiles also refer to an entire class.

That's actually closer than you think. Reptiles physically do not have the part of the brain that feels love, but they ARE capable of things like familiarity and preference, which is basically their way of having love. That said keep it fed, because instinct is strong. Also expect nips and accidents, because INSTINCT IS STRONG.

@@coronadurango6415 that’s a very dumb myth. Wild alligators don’t grow to the size of the Everglades. The only reason why a gator would stay small would be if it was malnourished. If you feed them properly, they will grow to a normal size. They need a lot of space and will become deformed if you keep them in a small box.

Nah bud.. He'll be as safe as he his now with this animal until he dies. The gator may very well harm anyone else though. Gators don't age. They don't lose memory. They remember everything that's happened through their entire life and every person. They can't die unless they suffer trauma or disease. No such thing as old age in the land of crocodilians. Interesting facts. Their cells don't age. Oldest confirmed one's around 80 but technically there could be one thousands of years old. Would still remember ever moment of it's life. ;)

Not sure I would personally trust Wally (or any non-domesticated animal) but as far as I know it's definitely physically possible for Wally to feel affection and stuff.

@@Steves_fish alligators and crocodiles actually have extremely high intelligence. They don’t have diaphragms though so can’t really produce noises like other animals. The intelligence of an alligator/crocodile surpasses your dog/cat and probably many animals you would ever own. Besides a Pig or raven since you could own those as pets. Otherwise only apes, dolphins, elephants and a couple other animals are more intelligent than a gator/croc. Including a couple bird species. So yeah they have very high intelligence!
