Hi Austin! One pro tip that I learned from volunteering with a rabbit rescue. We have a professional bonding service too. When you introduce the two buns, make sure it’s neutral and put them in a 2x2 overnight with no litterbox, then slowly expand over the next few days depending how they get along. No toys or hides for the first few weeks or they’ll get territorial. A lot of the advice on the internet suggests that you put them together for a few hours then separate which only resets your progress. Best of luck!

I agree. I’ve bonded both rabbits and guinea pigs and to me rabbit bonding was the most nerve racking. Thankfully my buns got along right from the get go. But I don’t think I slept much that weekend.

@@annieacevedocruz My rabbits literally fell in love at first sight. After a few weeks of side-by-siding I put them together in the more docile one's pen. There was a little bit of humping for the first few minutes and then they hopped in the litter box together and have been inseparable since. I think I must have had the easiest rabbit bonding in the world. @thepigroom I hope your rabbit bonding goes as smoothly as mine did!

@@longkitty1090 We both got lucky. I was mostly stressed out because of all the horrible bonding stories I heard. But mine were the same as yours. Love at first sight. Other than humping they were never were aggressive with each other throughout the entire bonding process. They’re still besties.

Hi Austin I watch your videos on you tube, first your guinea pigs because I started getting my own boy guinea pigs of my own, I look forward to you videos of the rabbits as well as in January of this year I rescued 2 rabbits myself a mother and daughter when a neighbour moved and left them behind so I went and got them made a pen for them and now they are in their forever home, so good for you for rescuing those bunnies😊

I don't know about other people but I really enjoy the rabbit content as much as piggie content. I don't get a lot of time to watch KZbin so if you started a bunny channel I would have the best of intentions to watch it. I can't be sure that I'd have time to make my way over there. My vote is to stay on one channel, but you do what is best for you, your fur babies, and all of your fans. I think if you make a second channel, there will be a lot of pressure on you to keep up with content especially when you already have The Pig Room and I can imagine, busy with everyday life and especially your business with it booming. I think you should combine, but still have the focus on your Guinea pigs, but if we get to see buns, that’s just more of you and your lovely animals! I say whatever feels most natural for you, and what’s doable of course 😊

I’ve actually seen people use the wooden / plastic dowel bird perches to keep cages apart for bonding! Gives them space, but doesn’t let them move the x pens closer to hurt each other, either. Just put the notches on each pen up on the top wire so they can’t reach it.

I was so scared when I bonded my 2 girls, a Holland lop and a lionhead. I sat there and watched them for hours. Luckily they got along really well and hated being separated
