Omdat het transport van het ruim 100 meter lange en 14 meter brede schip, met zes verdiepingen, een fors zwembad, 12 jacuzzi's en een helikopterdek, veel sneller ging dan in het door bouwer Royal Van Lent en de provincie Zuid-Holland gemaakte schema, werd besloten dat het vaartuig niet in Alphen overnacht, maar meteen doorvoer naar Gouda.

Het jacht is door Royal Van Lent in Kaag gemaakt en kost naar verluidt zo'n 165 miljoen euro. Het vaart niet op eigen kracht, maar ligt op een soort ponton en wordt door sleepboten meegevoerd.

What's really amazing to me is that they maneuvered it through Stern first....I would've thought it would be easier bow first, using the Yacht's own rudder to help steer.

As a former yacht captain, FYI, rudders are useless unless the boat has some way on.

The rudder directs the propelled water, so without propulsion you don't have much steering

What's so revealing is how obscene it is what the human ego is capable of. I am not even jealous. I couldn't be arsed with the staffing of such a large vessel.
