to all those who hate mustaine's voice : he might doesn't have the best singing skill nor that brutal scream you want as he was not a vocalist in the first place, but his voice fits the songs so perfectly it defines megadeth itself. can't imagine another singer sings it.
@citizeeeen Жыл бұрын
Trash Metal was never about "singing skills", why don´t people talk about Hetfield or even Tom Araya? … Are they great singers? No and it does not matter.

@@citizeeeen Well for one thing James does have good singing skills, another is that the reason why most thrash metal vocals sound good most of the time is because most thrash metal is dirty, loud, amd unprofessional with the exception of Metallica, Antrhax, and Megadeth. Metallica write excellent compositions for songs and James has a good voice for it. Megadeth also write excellect songs and have excellent musicians behind it. But his vocals... man, they not only sound bad but theyre especially way off from the level of musicianship the rest of their music has. They could have a way better vocalist and could have been way more successful with it.
@citizeeeen Жыл бұрын
@@kybamclane9357 Thrash Metal singing is not a competition, there are so many bands that everyone can choose what to enjoy. Mustaine is MEGADETH and his voice is part of it, started as kind of provocation because someone had to do it. Dave´s lyrics work with his voice and his singing has improved over the years because he felt more confident about its possibilities. Most of these bands never auditioned for a singer anyway … One of the guys just had to step up. Mostly it is an angry, can be socially/political critical, energetic and a fun style of METAL. I don´t think MEGADETH would work with another style of singing or singer, it is all about the Attitude, Lyrics and Music of Mustaine´s MIND. Adiossss:-)
@kybamclane9357 Жыл бұрын
@@citizeeeen Well he didn't sound too bad on Youthanasia and yeah his voice is unique it has some good qualities to it but overall in any given performance its just bad. Its not good singing, its not good screaming, its not good distortion, its just bad. A plain bad voice; and its not nearly up to the level of musicianship his guitar playing + the rest of the band has.
