+Victor Hugo Bertacchini I haven't no i've checked out some of his previous songs but I just never get on with the vocal style that was used in the band.. I have the same issue with DreamTheatre the singing style puts me off for the most part, its not gritty enough and far to clean for my tastes.. But thats just me. I will be going though his other stuff though and i'll start with Temple of Shadows. I knew he would be a good fit though when he was announced as the guitarist instantly looked like he fit right in.. And I really liked seeing him and Dave working together in the studio.. I know Dave's been waiting for a while to have a competent writer in the band other than himself and David.

One thing I've learnt with Dave is people give him shit for not having the greatest vocals BUT he's such a mastermind he created songs that compliment his voice so well it sounds amazing. Maybe not in all the albums but it stands out in RIP, Countdown and some of the tracks in Dystopia. This song is a textbook example of how he works his vocals into the guitar work.

The last 2 minutes doesn't sound anything like the songs you've listed either. It has high pitched riffs compared to the crunchier sound of the other 2 songs its not just another one again.. Its clear bold creative and has some of the sharpest lyrics wise they have put out for years that can also be said of the other songs and its an overlaying theme on the album.

+Ely Gallego Sales wise yes it does.. Completely this is excellent work and the Metal community should be rewarding returns to form with modern evolution and influences with increased sales support.. Metal is now one of the highest sales generating genres in the music industry for actual album releases.. To get number 1-3 on the charts you need to sell 50k of more... Thats nothing.. Quite a few artists in Metal can pull that kind of first week figure.. Megadeth is one of those acts.. They are going to finally get a number 1 record its been a long time coming but its well deserved. This is the record that will define modern Megadeth from the last 15 years and give a sign of the future as well. Everything I've heard points to a fantastic album with a very high quality in writing and recording.. It also helps that I consider this to be the best line-up since Dave,David,Marty,Nick had their run together.. I am so happy that this band is moving forward still and isn't trying to get plays back who don't have the heart in it to make Megadeth music.

Let's first review: Fatal illusion was a decent first single but it was a song that was met to grow and will make more since once the album is released and we can see the flow within the album. Threat is Real- reminded me of Rust in peace (which is always good) and should have been the single that was released 1st as is was a better crafted song. DYSTOPIA- the title cut reminds me a lot of hanger 18- especially in tempo and melody. Drum pattern is kind of similar though a lot different. It's not recycled into dystopia but is called back. Great as a set opener

I find it rare when a band that's been around for 20+ years can still put out good material that's not just greatest hits albums and live stuff. But damn, Megadeth really does put out material that's still good to listen to. And i'm not saying this as a long time fan, I knew a few of their popular songs before, but I only began listening to them a lot in the last 2 months or so. This, Thirteen, and Endgame are wicked good albums. I honestly find them just as good as their older albums. And the album art for this is so cool!
