The vr6 has a solenoid controlling the hydraulics. It only controls oil pressure to the gear hydraulics.

Hey I have a gen 3 5.3 and I installed it in my gen 4 z28 with megasquirt2 v3.57 I can get it to start and then stumble out and die I can't get it running smooth can you please help me out I wat h your video alot and not sure what im doing wrong

So when I do auto tune, very easy does very small increments of changes? Sort of very safe if I don’t want too much of a drastic change

No very easy makes big cell changes. The way it works is the longer you're in a cell it builds up weighting saying how long its spent there. If you have it set on very easy it may only need 5records to make a 10+ change on your ve table. The harder the resistance the longer it will take for it to make an adjustment. Use the very easy and easy when you're first starting to dial in the ve table. Then when it starts to look better you can change it to normal and go again. Once it's close to what you want afr wise change it to hard or very hard and itll make hardly any changes unless a cell is consistently off on its calculation.
