I love this! I think everyone needs these tips because even something simple like slowing down your bedtime really does feel more relaxing and pampering. I’ve been trying that and I feel like I fall asleep a lot more stress free. Love all of this advice!!

Thank you for this, Meghan. I especially like boundaries as self-care. I would never have thought about that and what a time for it now. With working from home and here so much, I need to create the boundaries and think of them as self-care--something to give thought to over the weekend. I can think of other areas where I could benefit from some self-care boundaries after I take on that first one. Again, thank you for a fresh perspective.

Love this! This is put together so beautifully:) I would just like to add that getting into the habit of waking up just a little bit earlier so that you can take your time in the morning is so helpful as well. I find that I get so much more out of a calm, slow morning rather than 15 minutes of extra sleep and the inevitable stressful mad rush along with it. Gotta start your day right, you know? :)

Self care to me feels like: - a hot cup of tea or any drink my body feels it needs in silence. -a hair mask and face mask while I sit down to read a book (if I can do both it’s a bonus) - lighting a candle or diffusing some of my favorite oils after a hot shower and relaxing (I also like to turn on my salt lamp) - cleaning room and decluttering/ getting rid of things I no longer use to allow room for new things -sitting in my car after a long day of work in front of my house and listening to some good music and letting go before I go inside my house -writing down what’s been bothering me and letting it go as I do tend to bottle my feelings and push myself to keep it together - taking a hot shower, doing a body scrub and putting on my favorite body butters and oils. -calling a friend to catch up and vent if needed -cuddle with my dogs and take them for a walk
@kimberlynewsom98766 жыл бұрын
Slowing down seems to be a common theme in many self care tips, and I think so many people can use that advice of slowing down in their every day lives which would become a self care thing that they're doing when they may not even be intentionally aware that they are carrying out a self care habit. In addition, in doing this we would all then be contributing to the well being of the collective everyone.

Hi Meghan, what sorts of veggies and fruits would be okay for breakfast for someone who has GERD? I’ve just recently been diagnosed with GERD and i was a bit freaked out to see the list of foods i should avoid... i live in Indonesia btw, and it’s a tropical country so maybe my choice of fruits and veggies are a bit different...

The best self-care habit according to Ayurveda to become happier and healthier will always be to take regularly 1 tablespoon (15 ml) castor oil on an empty stomach. In this manner not only all the waste deposed in your intestines will be excreted, but the toxins deposed in your body will be eliminated via the liver too.
