In time. I started listening to meg myers years ago and now shes getting bigger. Shes young and incredibly talented. She will hit the big time with her next album. Garuntee it. Then all her older stuff wilk pick up on views too because people will be looking for more when they here her music. Im actually a massive metal head so this isnt my usual go to unless its meg myers. Her music is real. She would make a great frontwoman in a metal band. Just listen to heart heart head. The scream in that shows her vocal range when compared to this. Her lyrics are always incredible and her voice is awesome and the instrumentals compliment her abilities very well. This is profesional music. She will grow in fame and popularity. I can tell by the views/likes/dislikes/ratio. Shes relatively unknown even tho shes incredible. Give it 3 years she will be on radio everywhere and in the charts. Shes gonna storm it like a hurricane

Jealousy and bad emotions can happen to anyone. Hell look at chester bennington, R. I. P., dude was part of one of the most popular bands in the world, surrounded by fame and money, and surrounded by friends and family. We are all human, and no amount of money, fame, or good looks will ever change our darkest feelings. I assume thats the idea behind meg myers songs is the portrayal of the darkest secrets people dont normally talk about due to the fear of being "psycho".
@musicfan070586 жыл бұрын
Will Davis i dont think she does it for an idea or point i think she is just 1 of the few musical minds that is willing to open herself up and heart and soul to her music, i think she would still do this if she had 0 fans or 0 attention its like a musical diary but not many artists do this

Is this song a hard reference to lemon eyes? Cause I feel like in lemon eyes, not only is the entire song about being jealous but she even says "jealous sea" in lemon eyes 👀
@animalsandiphones6 жыл бұрын
joyce wins to me she’s sing about her jealousy not like lemon eyes she’s talking about the guy being jealous. This is my interpretation
@willferrellssweetnips6 жыл бұрын
animalsandiphones I could be wrong but I see them as connected. I have watched a couple interviews where Meg talked about how Lemon Eyes started out as an external song about helping a loved one (boyfriend, is the vibe I get) end jealousy in themselves, but it morphed into this sort of introverted self-discipline where she acknowledges to herself that she has a great capacity in herself to feel envious or jealous towards others. I am of course paraphrasing and butchering her explanation lol. So for me personally I see Jealous Sea as a close relative to Lemon Eyes. Or maybe after living/touring with Lemon Eyes for as long as she did, she might have felt like she needed to set the record straight with her fans, (being the brutally honest artist that she is) and thus Jealous Sea was born as a response to Lemon Eyes. Idk, this is the kind of stuff I think about when I should be working haha
@henryjaramillomusic6 жыл бұрын
Will Ferrell's Sweet Nips yeah that's what I was saying kind of... I feel like the whole album is so matured from her previous work and Jealous Sea is such a reflection on Lemon Eyes.
@TheCapuletCafe6 жыл бұрын
I thought the exact same thing. I think it may be about the same person, or at least the same concept, because in Lemon Eyes it seemed like she was saying “you don’t have to be jealous, I’m all yours,” whereas here she seems to be absolutely suffocated by his jealously. And it’s so common, to at first feel flattered but eventually you begin to feel controlled. You wanna go out, you wanna get drunk, but they’ll show up too because they get scared someone will move in. I think that’s what she’s feeling- she loves him, doesn’t want him to leave, but she’s drowning in his jealous sea, and can’t live her life freely because of it.
