So sorry to hear of your situation. FWIW...........my wife, stage 4 met breast to bones/liver/lungs/brain/lymph. Conventional chemo moderately effective. Combined fasting (fast mimicking diet) with 500mg melatonin daily (divided doses through the day) with attention to gut health/organic plant based diet with chemo/checkpoint inhibitor. Five month later no cancer present anywhere per CT/PET /Signatera genetic test. Additionally she had very little in the way of side effect from the conventional drugs that are very hard on most people. Melatonin has likely played a big part in her results. Best of luck.

He is credentialed check it, loads of publications on PubMed. Ernesto Edinger MD three times over, worked with melatonin and Russian astronauts - 300 mg per day, I think, just verify for yourself. Dietrich Klinghardt MD use 1,000- 6,000 mg for various illnesses. Uses suppositories and patches for higher absorbu87htion. Oral delivery goes through liver, only 10% of oral dose gets into body. Doris Loh also published on melaton8n, she says she takes 3000 mg daily in divided doses.

@@DrCaseyPeavler And logical careful daylight exposure, especially in early morning (dawn) light, is ALSO FREE!
@raykinney99073 ай бұрын
Manufacture of supplements seem to interject more potential issues like unintended contamination, not thought enough about by producers (e.g possibly deuterium content)? IMHO, getting melatonin via early morning daylight exposure, that also sets up better circadian hormonal functioning in the body, likely has less potential for (lack of adequate thought and research). And, we have been evolutionarily adapted to thousands of years (to say the least) of thriving with such daylight. So, likely we did not suffer from a 'deficiency of light supplementation'! For due diligence prevention, I'd say that early morning light NIR and subsequent frequent short exposures to daylight during the day, to stay 'topped off' for NIR (not to mention the amazing D3 hormone series of analogues) would be better than issues with manufactured melatonin. All of this is considering prevention, not if given more pathologic conditions that might necessitate needing higher dose utility.
@DrCaseyPeavler3 ай бұрын
Context is king. For people without cancer, I personally, despite my reverence for the substance, would not recommend supplementing. If you have cancer, I think is likely a must but the dosing, timing and scheduling recommended by various people is all over the place.

Friends diagnosed with cancer, diagnosed with PD, AD, ED, etc. etc. etc. seem even more fearful of being out in daylight, reach for sunblock, wear sunglasses, and all light their nights with LED. It now seems like I should not have to try to suggest to them that they might really be better off medically, if they had habits of frequent logical daylight exposure rather than hiding from it. But, under medical system care, shouldn't some 'evidence-based' practitioners be at least more curious about the research existing already, such as these papers? And, what about prevention advice not ever taking such research into account? If I suggest such knowledge should probably be readily available, and if I say that while outside in the morning sun, w/o sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat on, they look at me as if I were an environmental terrorist.

@DrCaseyPeavler3 ай бұрын
What’s wrong with melatonin being broken down? Melatonin metabolites (breakdown chemicals) have even more powerful effects against cancer than melatonin. What you need is a steady stream in the system. And that is completely dependent on your light environment.
@rredding3 ай бұрын
@@DrCaseyPeavler Perhaps my wording was wrong, not clear enough. I understand that red light therapy will raise melatonin in a natural way. However, sometimes megadoses melatonin are given in pill form. Breakdown of melatonin is natural and normal, but in some persons this breakdown occurs only minimally. So, in that case when taking 20, 50, 120 mg or more per day, melatonin will stack up. I fear this is unhealthy. So, if I were prescribing megadoses of melatonin, I needed to verify that melatonin breaks down as expected. Any ideas on that?
