Yes, quercetin seems to do so many beneficial actions. I was aware of the importance as a prominent ionophore for getting extracellular zinc transported into the cell to be readily available for protein synthesis with proper folding. And, that in a circumstance where there is a zinc deficiency on raw material supply, or even just the lack of sufficient ionophore transport, other metal atoms can replace the zinc (eg. zinc finger proteins and enzymes) resulting in mis folding and subsequent inability to accomplish the necessary task, but is this zinc ionophore mechanism the main driver with efficacy of quercetin, or does it have totally additional mechanisms?

Regarding your comments on lack of synergistic research: I recently watched post by a prominent KZbin commentor specializing in prostate cancer who promotes a scientific integrationist approach. His guest was a active science researcher conducting studies into glutamine blocking on various types of cancer. Dr. Seyfried was even mentioned in passing during the conversation. From what I could gather, all the researcher's studies were aimed at tracking glutamine blocking as a single vector, no discussion whatsoever of simultaneous glucose blocking. I could just see Dr. Seyfried face-palming the whole time.

Have you looked at deuterium? It is naturally in water, plants and meat. Plants store it in its sugar. Many papers suggest lowering it in your diet, reduces or stops cancer growth. The normal for healthy cells is 130. Tap water is 150. Mitochondria water is 109. Butter is 124. Low deuterium water is drunk as an adjunct to radiation.

As someone trying to avoid getting cancer (mom passed away from leukemia at 49, dad had cancer, aunt passed away from ovarian, other aunt had ovarian too! ) and I very much believe quercetin is a strong glutaminase inhibitor as well as several other anticancer pathways. I take this along with several other growth inhibitors like the flavonoids diosmin, silymarin, genistein, naringenin, and other phenolics and nutra's like resveratrol, omega 3, green tea (EGCG), (used to take berberine but then read about genotoxicity at low dosages), however I wonder if I'm getting poor wound healing from taking too many anti-growth factors. I have cuts on my finger tips that can take a month or more to heal unless I stop the supplements. I am not diabetic (though maybe some insulin resistance, BP is a little high), exercise regularly and only about 10 to 15 lbs overweight. The other thought besides anti-growth is that maybe I'm getting too much inhibition of platelet aggregation for proper wound closure and release of wound fibroblast growth factors. I have no idea if this is just what I'm experiencing or if other people might have similar issues.
@DrCaseyPeavler

I am really sorry about your mom. That is interesting what you say about wound healing…the goals related to prevention are different from those in metabolic treatment. @@DrCaseyPeavlerThank you for your suggestions! I had not thought of those factors that are important as part of having a whole intregrated approach. I've been watching a lot of your videos only recently having become aware of your channel (and catching up on all of this amazing and powerful content). I fully believe in the integrative molecular aspects and biological pathways approach for preventing and treating cancer, but it seem to me that most integrative doctors do not have a super indepth undertstanding of the mechanisms and pathways like you do. The power of synergy as you mentioned makes a lot of sense and could have immense potential to helping people to fully recover. I know someone who had gone to an alternative clinic in TX but seems to have been disappointed. I will make the suggestion he contact you for your expertise if your taking new clients. He has had prostate cancer with a radical prostatectomy but still has a lingering but low PSA level and wants to see if it can be totally eliminated. He's on a lot of supplements though he isn't really sure what he should be taking and at what dose, kind of a hit or miss approach of all the things he's heard of. That makes me somewhat concerned that if it's too much of one particular thing it could be counterproductive, like for instance high doses of EGCG can be hepatotoxic in some people. He's in CA and if you offer the video consultations that would make it easier for him if he won't need to travel to FL.

Gerald Pollack is No1 re infrared radiation & EZ exclusion zone water. Effect of infrared radiation on interfacial water at hydrophilic surfaces Paper published Mar 24, 2021 link to journal; full text (PDF) Hydrophilic materials such as Nafion can nucleate the buildup of interfacial water, which shows features different from bulk water. We investigated the effect of infrared (IR) light on a negatively charged, interfacial exclusion zone (EZ) and a positively charged proton zone (PZ) formed in the vicinity of Nafion. After irradiation for 5 min by mid-IR light, EZ size increased with an expansion ratio of 1.41. A significant expansion was also found in the size of PZ, equivalent to an increment of about 1.39 × 1016 molecules of hydronium ions. Thus, IR radiation not only builds EZ, but at the same time drives release of protons from the growing EZ to bulk water. Near-IR illumination also showed expansion of EZ and PZ water. These results imply that incident IR light not only promotes the build-up of interfacial water at the hydrophilic surface, but also provides a driving force for charge separation.

My hands broke out in painful and itchy hives, almost like sores, and I had them for months not knowing what was causing them until I thought to try stopping the rosemary and then within days they started to go away. It might be the immune system being affected by something in the rosemary,maybe the ursolic acid or the carnosic acid/carnosol, something else in it that then impacts the liver (rosemary is loaded with essential oils which in general can be linked to sensitizations). I'm not exactly sure how the liver would be impacted but there are idiosyncratic autoimmune type hepatitis (immune mediated liver inflammation) that could be possible, and not really knowing really what was going on physiologically, I'm just speculating with this.

Hopefully much more than that! Hopefully they will get industry out of the regulatory bodies, and in general push HEALTH and prevention.

How many cups of green teas a day would be a natural inhibitor or do you need the supplement. Is the EGCG level the same in decaf teas as as regular. So appreciate this information! Happy holiday!

I would probably supplement with EGCG and drink green tea if I had cancer. If I’m looking at disease prevention just drink the tea 🍵
