I always look forward to these recaps, but I think they could be improved with one simple adjustment. When summarizing the 2nd place finisher, end their segment with them reaching grand finals. Then move on to their opponent (the winner) and summarize their run to grands. After both players run to grands is done, then do the recap of grands itself and reveal the winner. This way you ll maintain some suspense during the grand finals recap, and you will avoid repeating the result of grand finals twice. Just a suggestion we love you Walt I hope you see this and tell me why I’m wrong

Can't help but feel like aMSa's victory here will have a huge effect on the future of Melee. Like you mentioned towards the end we could start seeing a new wave of mid-tiers rising up & taking tournaments. Maybe the tier list will have to be re-evaluated? It's hard to say exactly how big of a deal this tournament was but either way what an amazing thing to be able to see unfold. Great video as always Walt ~

Yoshi's solidly in the top 10 characters and has been for a while. People can debate whether Yoshi, Pikachu, or Ice Climbers are better, but most modern tier lists have those three characters rounding out the top 10 in some order. (Sometimes sharing a tier with Peach). Any of the top 10 characters can obviously win a major; well...Ice Climbers might be a struggle if wobbling stays banned, but...still probably possible. Characters outside of the top 10 sound very unlikely to win a major. Samus and Luigi are probably the 11th and 12th best characters, but there have been plenty of talented Samus and Luigi mains over the years, and they seem to be declining in relevance rather than increasing in relevance. Now, I wouldn't be surprised by a new wave of Yoshi mains. That could certainly happen.

It's like an hour away. It's also home to one of the most prestigious universities in the country: University of Michigan.
