Melissa Ordway and Conner Floyd Interview - The Young and the Restless

The Young and the Restless' Melissa Ordway (Abby) and Conner Floyd (Chance) chat with Michael Fairman for their first joint virtual interview since Connor joined the CBS Daytime drama seres in the role of "Chance" Chancellor.
During the conversation, Melissa and Conner touch upon how Chance will have his struggles as he returns to Genoa City after his dangerous mission abroad; where he was feared dead. However, Abby knew and felt otherwise, leading to their reunion. But as the actors share, will it be happily ever after for the on-screen duo?
Conner and Melissa talk about the audition process for recasting the role of Chance, and what words of advice she imparted to Conner, being a recast herself for Abby, and more.
In story, Chance is coming home to his newborn son, Dominic, but as Y&R viewers know; both Mariah (Camryn Grimes) and Devon (Bryton James) have a strong attachment to the baby, which is sure to cause more tension and drama. Melissa teases that Abby and Devon have always had a pull towards each other further complicating things for Chance's homecoming.

I was so mad when it looked like Chance had died. The show knew better than to do that!! Welcome back, Chance. Enjoying the Chance, Abby and Dominic family. Abby was really put through the wringer this year but Melissa really nailed her material. Abby deserves some happiness.

I like the new Chance but I also liked the actor that played Chance before. It is an adjustment to a new person but where the old Chance was gone so long before the new one came back, it wasn't as much of an adjustment. Let's not have Abby and Devon together. He has already dumped Amanda once, another time would be unreal. As far as Devon getting partial custody of Dom, crazy. If anyone would have gotten partial custody, it should have been Mariah after all she went through. To have Devon counsel Mariah and then be the one to demand custody was also so wrong. He should have taken his own advice.
