I just want to say for anyone who is hesitant to try a month, I had the same experience as Melissa. I have struggled, macro counted, crossfit junkie, everything for years and no one is more shocked than me how I lost 15 lbs since June 2020. Honestly I've always struggled with weight since being a preteen and only got very slim on extreme hunger and it never lasted. This is THE EASIEST thing I've ever done. Side note, I love using lime and sugar free ketchup once in a while. Also, don't add salt while cooking food if you like it because it doesn't help the taste as much as just adding it to your plate before eating does. And it helps control amounts 🖤

One of the best videos I've seen in a while! So relatable and full of great information! I've been a vegan for almost 2 years. I have a blood disease and horrible inflammation (hives&acne ) the vegan diet helped so much but I had bad symptoms again so I stopped eating oil, tofu, fake cheese and packaged vegan stuff and my skin is IMPROVING! I wish I would have known this info years ago! I subscribed to your channel! Great video!

This is very interesting, thanks. Your method of communicating is very fluid and understandable. I don't hear any filler words. It's like what I would say if I wrote down a clear and comprehensive answer beforehand and read it from script, except you obviously didn't do that. I don't see that from very many people at all, the level of clarity, being succinct but in the moment.

Hi Melissa, I’m SO glad I found you. I’ve been enjoying watching your videos, learning, & how easy you put 2gth meals. I’m just 9 minutes in this video. But anyway I went to make oven potato coins/chips like you do on 450’ for 25mins. Genius 👏! I like this much better than I was doing. I’d bake potatoes ahead. Then cut into fries and rebake. So this way is cooking as I go. I prefer that. I’ll still bake potatoes but not as much anymore. I’ve been Vegan since April 2020 losing 26lbs by Oct 2020. However 2021 somewhere I started eating a lot of junk, eating out, oils again, & processed foods. Almost gaining back all my weight. I finally got strict and clean again as of Dec 19, 2022. I feel great and back down 10lbs still got 13 more lbs to go to get where I was. My goal is lose another 13lbs on top of that to get to a healthy weight for my height. I’m looking forward to reaching that goal and holding steady once I get there. I know what to do. I’ve read books, countless documentaries, KZbin info and have it down. Just lost my way a bit. Anyway thank you for your channel. I appreciate you!

I lost weight on Weight Watchers and maintained for 10 years. I adopted whole foods plant based eating in 2018 and maintaining became much easier. Recently, I decided to lose another 10 lbs to reach my weight I was in my 20’s thru 30’s. I minimized avocado, nuts, etc. that I ate maintaining and met my objective and also keep losing weight even though I added back the more calorie dense foods. It is such a great lifestyle, never feel deprived etc. I think our food culture and what we do for entertainment by going out to eat is why people think it’s a difficult transition. Your advice to experiment is great, I wasn’t sure I could lose the 10 lbs., but by deciding to give it a try, keep things simple and eat volume it proved out the fact it works for weight loss.

I agree with no cheat day in the sense you shouldn't go run for junk food. I've started a caloric deficit since July, and in the beggining I was stuffing myself, once a week, with my usual fav candy, chocolates, cheettos, etc to a point I swear I was suffering in my cheat day with all the bloating and constant feeling of I want more (sugar rush is tricky). Now I make sure my "cheat" days consist of more healthy food and junk food in a very low percentage. Now that I have that mindset, there's no way to go back, many people have been like... oh you take much care of your food, you're loosing too much weight you need more junk food... but... why should we even put that kind of food within our bodies in the first place?

Great video! People are shocked how good some vegan food is. Also people don’t realize that packaged food like hostess cupcakes and Cheetos literally have chemicals in them designed to be addictive so once you stop eating them, your taste buds change and you don’t like the super processed, salty sugary stuff anymore

Hi Melissa! I used to be subscribed to your channel years ago when you ate like this, and remember finding you so inspirational. But I could never implement it myself, I was too addicted to vegan "junk" and refined sugar. But I've been eating like this now ever since covid and been really sticking to it. But, my problem is that when I eat too calorie dilute, my sleep suffers so much. I eat too few calories which makes my body wake up from hunger or not being able to fall asleep. But if I up my starch, instead I feel like I'm just maintaining and not losing. Do you have any tips to combat this problem?
