Melody is such a thoughtful and accomplished dancer and person, it was enlightening to hear her point of view about the ballet community, not just at HB, but worldwide, and of course I enjoyed her insights about artistry, technique, what is valued, etcetera. Really enjoyed this! Especially at 52:58. “You wanna build a bigger audience in ballet, you want everybody to love ballet? You have to let everybody do ballet.” I am a recreational adult ballet dancer, and I was unfamiliar with Melody, but I’m so glad I watched this. She is so thoughtful. Excited to watch the next one!
