The faucet is leaking 也可以說 the faucet (tap) is dripping (滴水)。Leaking 意思是水喉漏水或渗水。

燈泡燒了可說 The bulb is burned out (美式英語) 或 The bulb has blown (英澳式英語)。注意如果是光管或現代的LED燈壞了，應改說 the light is dead, the light is gone, the light is out, the light has gone out。總括來說，前者是過時說法，後者比較日常通用。

Faucet is American English. It is Tap in British or Australian English. In Canada, both terms are used.

Hong Kong was British colony before 1997. What happened? This is probably why people didn't understand my British English during my last holiday there.

@@k17sher British English RP (Received Pronunciation) has always been taught in Hong Kong before & after 1997. In HK they say Tap not Faucet. I suppose Melody's videos are popular among Cantonese speaking people who reside in the US and Canada.

Speaking English natively: the sink wouldn’t get clogged because it is literally a basin or receptacle but the “drain” would. Did the light bulb “burn out”? Who knows! But simply the light bulb is “out”, and needs to get replaced.

If an incandescent light bulb (燈泡) suddenly goes out and you can see the tungsten filament (鎢絲) inside broken as opposed to power outage or blown fuse, then it is correct to say "the bulb has blown or burnt out". Otherwise "the light is out" applies to almost all situations.

Depending on the situation, there are different ways to convey the meaning. Toilet is clogged, which means the stagnant water is not draining. Do not flush! Toilet is backed up. which is what is going to end up happening when you push the "flush" handle.The water will flow over the toilet because of the clogging. It is a messy situation. Or, the toilet is "out of order" which simply tells people without the details, you can't use it.

I really think the English I learned at primary and secondary schools from 1982 to 1993 was British English. When I was 17 in 1993, I took HKCEE (not f**king DSE those s**t). People in HK are getting closer to American English. I watched another video about using "restroom/bathroom" instead of "toilet" by American KZbinr. Toilet is absolutely fine and normal in the UK, as sign outside the loo is called "Toilet". Do people in HK spell "doughnut" or "donut? Do they use "bonnet" or "hood"?😆

Yes you can. "The pipe is stuck" means the pipe cannot be loosened (修理水喉時，水管卡住不能擰鬆)。"The Tap is stuck" means the tap cannot be turned on or off (水喉不能擰開或關閉)。

"B" sound should be silent in the word plumber. I believe this is a very common pronunciation mistake that Chinese made.😉
