I love the copper as well. Very nice video again. You made some beautyful coins and bars! Best greetings from Treasure Island!

Thanks for sharing! I have the exact same furnace. My first mold pouring will be this next week. Starting off with aluminum first. Really enjoyed your video. Very nice work!

Beginners level? I'm definitely not an expert, but have been doing this for a few years. I wouldn't say I'm a beginner.

@HeinrichsMade oh it was horrible, uneven equipment surfaces, not heating equipment up properly, exploding copper due to negligence, horrible casts, cheap quality equipment...I could go on and on but I can't because I had a stroke from watching that video.

Do I need a casting flask to begin or could I diy it with a wooden frame? Also could I use any metal tool for the hammering of green sand?
@HeinrichsMade20 күн бұрын
i tried doing it with a steel container, but the metal eats away at the steel. It is best to use a clay/graphite crucible.

Can I reuse the green sand if I used it once? If so, what will you have to add?
@HeinrichsMade20 күн бұрын
yes this sand is 100% reusable. You just have to reintroduce water to it for it do clump again. I have a video I made in the past on how i mix my greensand.

Why don’t you just drop the ingot in? Would that create a different outcome than the slow insert?
