This is a far cry from the Storz and Bickel people loved. Prior to canopy growth buying them 5 years ago their vaporizers were nearly rock solid and came with brushes, grinders, loaders for portable vapes, etc.. If you had a problem customer service was fast and top notch. They sent you a return label and used expedited shipping on any exchanges so everything was handled very fast. Over time everything has declined while the prices on their vapes keep soaring.

I just got mine delivered today ordered directly from STORZ & BICKEL in Germany and after one session, got an E04 error and it won't work. Yes, I am going to wait for the Venty+ or whatever they'll call it to see if they figured out there QC.

Actually, I have always been happy with my S&B products. My Volcano from 2012 (!) works like it did on the first day. Same goes for the OG Mighty, which I have been using every day for many years. First time, I got a strange feeling was when S&B offered the CEO-signed, golden Volcano Classic for €1000. Fanboy or not, this marketing campaign felt like a scam. The ending of included charging cables was another point that really bothered me. Be that as it may, I was hyped for the Venty and wanted to buy it in line with the German legalization - until I saw this video! I know, that you had a wonderful time with Jürgen at several events; that's why I really appreciate you bringing this incident to attention, Troy. All the best from Germany.

The same thing happened with me. I also inhaled it, however mine didnt melt this much. I asked them so many questions, and they didnt respond to any of them.( Like is it dangerous and such?) They keep saying i should initiate an rma and apart from that no answers. @@420vapezone it doesn't fully melt it just slightly melts, to the point that the metal ring starts falling out if you turn it over, it doesn't click into place and stays there like when its new (this has to mean there is some level of melting even though it is not a lot). It happens to a lot of people with enough use. Also, when i bought my volcano hybrid onyx edition I noticed it does not have the TUV sticker on the back of the device like the silver one does. I sent them an email specifically asking if the absence of the sticker on the back of the device means it is not TUV approved. And they didn't give me a straight answer!! They started beating around the bush and never said yes it is TUV or no it is not. As for what they said on the email it was not fully clear, but it was them basically saying my device isn't TUV approved. In their advertising they say TUV approved, and then they make a black one, and they know thats the one everyone is going to buy, so they safe money making it not TUV approved. Little by little S&B is changing into a company we can't trust. What a shame! I have an og mighty and a volcano hybrid onyx edition but after everything I just said and what I saw in this video (the melting and the fact that they are charging this dude for shipping) I don't think i will buy another vape from them, I mean on top of everything its not like they are cheap!

I never understood why you would want plastic anywhere close to heating elements or vapor path regardless of the materials temp resistance. If the device has any issue at all your with in 200-300 degrees of melting or off gassing in some way.

THIS!!! many people really need to read your comment this is why i stick with dynavap style vapes where everything is either titanium or glass. I use a revolve gen 2 with glass sleeve and a titanium tip haven't had an issue for over a year already. I see the creators of the stem are making a portable ball vape that is the same all metal or metal and glass design called the tempest. Folks stick with hard materials(metal and glass) id never ever get a vape let alone one for $500 with any bit of plastic

it's not regular plastic, it's a polymer called PEEK and can withstand temps of upwards to 600 F. It's commonly used in medical grade devices and aerospace applications. iT5! pL4st1c!!!

It could have been a V1, I got an email to replace my venty because of a at the time battery issue of overheating. But the weird part is they sent me a replacement venty without me paying for anything, I got the email to do an online diagnostic test and they confirmed I had a bad battery and sent me a brand new one while draining my old venty completely using software. The fact they made him pay for shipping is wild considering that potentially could be a lawsuit if went wrong

Looks like something he put in it melted. Thankfully, no one was hurt. I love my Venty and been in use most days for a couple months with no issues. Like any other product, there can be issues obviously as issues with popular products like the Samsung phones and iPhone that happen time to time. S&B products age well and I have had a mighty and have a mighty plus that I have dropped several times and left out in a rain for the plus with no issues. And I am not an S&B lover only. I know that’s going to come up. I am one of those that has to try them ALL and keep coming back to S&B and DynaVap.

Honestly, I think S&B are a quality company for the 2000s and 2010s. Going with non replaceable batteries and a plastic case in 2024 is honestly not that enticing anymore. One can say that their shells plastic are "medical rated", but with the price you pay for their vaporizers they can easily afford making their units out of non-gassing metal. The non exchangeable battery I can sort of understand due to regulations in whether something can be called "medical grade", but with todays technological advancements... Idiots might put in bad batteries, but to do such a thing wrong today is harder than it used to. S&B are way behind.

I completely agree with the idea that the rat theory seems plausible. It appears that the individual intentionally caused damage to the unit in order to obtain a replacement or possibly even to extort a settlement by threatening a lawsuit. Regardless, I am highly skeptical of his story. Personally, I own one of these excellent vaporizers and it has been nothing but fantastic. It would be unfortunate if people were deterred by this individual fabricating false claims.

S and B products have problems these days. The hybrid had melting problems when it was released so this doesn’t surprise me at all. It’s as if you guys forgot that S and B already made a vape that melted the chamber. No fakery/ rat here just a bad product, made by a company that simply doesn’t care. No one who’s been into vapes long enough would consider buying a S and B vape anymore, those days are long gone. They really do have problems with melting.

If there haven't been so many other issues with the Venty I would say that it was just a defective battery. I worked in thd cell phone industry for over 20 years. Lithium batteries are scary dangerous when the're defective. S&B hasn't had a good track record with batteries since well before the Venty. Ask almost any Crafty/Crafty+ owner. I went through multiples of both of them and finally just gave up on them and wrote them off. Meanwhile my Mighty has never had an issue. S&B should be using much higher quality components in their products for how much they charge for them. They make high performance products with shitty parts. Performance and quality ard not the same. S&B prove this with many of their products.

I am using the vap cap 99% of the time now. Ended up not being a huge fan of the crafty+ and that basically stopped me from moving up in their product line. Paying $450 for this device would just make me wary of value for the long term. Vap cap mostly and sticky brick runt for when I want the big hits. I don't vape so much away from home now and pretty much just save it for after work and the vap cap just gets it done in 3-4 bowls. Crafty was my 3rd electronic device. The hits it delivers for me are unpleasant compared to the dynavap. If I paid $500 for this and had to pay shipping back for any issue at all other than abuse, I would be furious. I am kind of glad I don't have more invested than what I have in the crafty+ now.

I dithered over the Mighty plus or the Venty. Eventually chose the mighty plus because i could not justify the price of the venty. Glad i chose how i did. Also... Charging to return a dangerously faulty device is just poor customer service.

I hope your mighty lasts longer than the 3 months mine did. I could not get them to RMA it no matter what I did. I sent pics, videos, and nothing but bullshit from them. They sold their soul.

Just got a venty with 1.07. Can’t update firmware with Bluetooth 😂 so far only issue. I’m gonna try and rma it.

Damn! I had the same thing but i was DRAWING! the smoke was thicker than a liquid vape. it was combusting, I turned it off immediately as this guy unfortunately couldn't so it not melted, but the cap was blackened. It worked for a few moment after then went E04.

Is the volcano hybrid any good? I have the original Mighty it is about 4 years old now zero issues not a flicker. But more I read up on the venty as a medical patient I can not be inhaling rubber and plastic or having devices melting... I understand there portable and convienient. But I just want something reliable. Storz and Bickel have sold up basically and sold the company on... You would never hear of faulty Mightys.. well I never did... Buy cheap you buy twice... Or spank a ton of cash and risk it melting... Might just buy a volcano Hybrid? Build seems much better...

tbh there's only been two of those melted, and they were several months ago. The venty is great device and the company is still solid, they just had a rough launch with error-prone devices. The volcano hybrid is wonderful. The bowl is huge though, so I'd recommend getting the bowl reducer. It'll cut it from .75g to .15g

I just bought one. I think that has been resolved with a firmware update. But it does not come out of the box updated and so some never do and eventually get the error. As for the burning, it looks like something inside combusted and that melted the plastic; unless the thermistor failed (maybe is one of the bugs in the update), it doesn't get hot enouth to melt the plastic, let alone burn it.
