Really good price for what seems to be a very solid cart.

I've had one of these for 4-5 yrs. It's solidly built however the bolts are crap rusting within 3 yrs (not galvanized). I've just rebuilt w/ galvanized bolts & wire brushed all rust spots & primed w/ rust oleum paint to stop rust. used Flex steel black rubber spray compound to stop further rust on roller drum. Also replaced air FLAT tires w/ solid rubber tires from Harbor Freight - needed extra washers for buffers on axles... Core unit is fine just need to remove RUST PRONE elements. Spent 50-60 bucks to "rebuild" but have a solid piece that I believe will function well.

Love what you did with yours. I agree with all your comments. Solid unit with some low quality parts. We also have had the crank handled bend over and over. I just keep bending it back. All still works well though.

I'm late to the party because it wasn't until this year that we had an issue! The leader hose got torn up? rotted? something happened over winter and it needed replacing. We spent a good 10 minutes righty-lefty-ing that darn connector before we realized that you need one set of pliers to hold the big nut in place and another set to turn the small thin nut. New leader hose installed and we're back to good. We are trying to decided if we need to repaint it as the paint is looking a little weather damaged. Only posting to help anyone else who gets frustrated with this replacement.

How do you move cart to different areas of the garden with just the 5' connecting hose? Thanks for your video.

You connect the 5' hose to the spigot then you just unreal the hose and pull it wherever you want it. If the hose you have is too short you just disconnect the hose and pull the cart to another spigot. I installed quick connects on mine so you don't have to screw and unscrew the hose. Great question. I had this same question. I only have 1 spigot and so I need the super long hose. I wanted to get a cart where I could hook the hose to the spigot so it would unravel as I traveled with the cart and then use the leader hose to do the watering. That what I can also guide my 150’ of hose around planters etc with the cart rather than just pulling the hose directly. Think I could somehow reverse engineer this?

@@DadsGarageDIY You can always connect any length of hose to that 5 foot leader hose, and then connect that longer hose to the spigot.

Did you start to have a problem with the hose reel connector unscrewing as it's unreeling? Mine worked fine for a couple of months, then suddenly the hose reel connector started to turn along with the reel, unscrewing the connector hose. I've been looking for a fix.

Hi Javier. No, I have not had that issue. Only issue we have had is the crank handle keeps bending in and eventually striking the frame. Then I have to get a pipe wrench on it to bend it back out. It has happened 3 or 4 times. Not really sure why it is even happening. Not exactly following what issue you are having. Message me on instagram a little video and maybe we can come up with some ideas. It's yt_dads_garage.

@@DadsGarageDIY That handle is made from cheap lite gauge tubing. All of that flexing will break that handle in half in time. Call the manufacturer and get one or two more handles so you are ready when it breaks.

Try using a pliers and firmly tighten it.

@@knuckles1006 Very interesting. Ours does bend and I bend it back. So far it hasn't broken. Over 2 years now. So, not too bad. The rust is starting to get it a bit though. It sits outside all summer. We will probably get another summer out of it. Thanks knuckles.

Are the tires plastic or rubber?

Unfortunately they are plastic. But they are holding up.
