No matter if you knew him as a friend or just a fan or even have only barely watched his videos, etc, it will hurt to different extents. A classmate that I used to sit next to in math class passed away not too long ago due to a housefire. I had struck up a small conversation with him two days prior in band class. And I always remember doodling and looking over and seeing that he would be doodling sometimes too. And one time after he died, I turned to talk to him, and forgot he wasn't there anymore. I didn't know him that well, but it still hurt, and I still cried. I still think about Brien Karlson, even when other classmates might push it to the back of their head. Death is not something to be feared, rather something accept. And sometimes, it takes a long time to accept. And healing is a process, whether it be fast or slow. I remember one of my friends was really sad when Technoblade died, and even tho I was never really a techno fan but I watched his videos and it made me sad because last year my good friend died and for a while I didn’t cry until his funeral came, his family made a slide deck of his pictures and I cryied and eventually I saw my picture with him on the slide and I started sobbing just sobbing, after a year I have healed and realized that he would want me to be happy not sad but happy

I really haven't been even the least bit interested in the DSMP or Minecraft content since Techno passed, but I would have loved to see this one live; seeing Technodad playing Minecraft with Tommy is really bittersweet, I'm so happy that he's doing so much to keep the memory of Alex alive, he's so sweet and smart, you can really tell that Alex took after him. Yeah hadn't watch, in fact avoided this part of youtube until youtube start pumping up Techno related videos to me. It was like last time I would wake up early in the morning just to watch him live, support him even when I don't really care about DSMP, but now.... 😢

You can really see all the things Technodad does to try and cheer Tommy up. First he reassures him that crying is totally acceptable and doesn’t make you any less of a man, then when the conversation goes silent for a moment while Tommy is crying, he tries to start up the conversation again, reminding Tommy that he was going to give Technodad some PVP advice. And then when Tommy tells him he can’t because he’s crying, he tries a couple more tactics. He tells Tommy to tell him what he’s feeling, then when that doesn’t work, he tries an almost tough love approach, asking Tommy; “Come on, what are we doing here? Are we goofing, are we being serious…” assuming Tommy would respond better a more firm redirect back to the conversation, before finally prompting Tommy to tell him another story about Technoblade, which you can tell helps cheer him up almost right away. Technodad is really such a kind soul, and I wonder if he’s ever had any experience with therapy, either giving it or receiving it, because he always finds a way to say exactly what people need to hear. I know this is a long comment, and I definitely made assumptions about what was going through Technodad’s head as he was saying all these things, and most of my assumptions are probably wrong, but this was the way I saw it and I wanted to share my thoughts on and break down a great example of therapy.

Techno was a great person and honestly helped me through hard times. It was hard for technos supporter, and I can’t imagine how hard it was for his family.When I heard the news it was a day after my birthday. It took months for me to get over it but hearing this makes me really happy and I’m glad technos dad was doing this. Happy late birthday Techno.

I uhh.. I didn't expect to get emotional today. It's not a bad thing, though. It's healthy to feel for others, especially those who helped you through hard times, whether they knew it or not. It's just really weird for me. I'd say I'm someone who doesn't get overly worked up about death much. And I dont attach much to online people much either. They fade in and out of my life and generally are just a source if entertainment. But something has always hit differently about Techno. I really don't know if it was just the sheer amount of time I watched him or if he just seemed like the friend we'd all like to have. Either way, I miss him more than I ever thought I would.

I remember the day he passed, I was sitting in my room and had just woke up and turned on my TV which automatically is on KZbin, the moment I opened my eyes to the screen, my heart sank to the bottom as I read the following: "So long nerds". I knew what had happened. I was simply in shock, later that day I simply broke down crying, which I did not expect as I didn't know Techno directly, only being a massive fan. It was the first time of my life I had ever experienced grief. Even though I wasn't connected with him, it still hurt, which I couldn't understand at the time since I had never experienced grief before. And I cannot fathom the pain Techno's close family and friends suffered as they knew him way better than I, and I am terribly sorry for your loss.

Technoblade is a legend! All these memories take me back to when I first started watching Technoblades videos. He was so inspiring and I'd always hope to even talk to him one day. Tommy actually did though, and he became a really good friend to Technoblade. That was so cool because that lifted my spirits. Thoughout the years, Technoblade and Tommy have just been this amazingly great young duo! It was until the day that I saw the video "So Long Nerds" that made me burst into tears. It was so heart breaking for his fans, for his friends, and most definitely his family. I couldn't stop crying for a while there, my parents couldn't even get me out of my room for breakfasts, lunches, or dinner. I eventually came out of my room after 4 days, but it wasn’t the same scrolling through KZbin. I felt like one of the only things that I truly enjoyed was just... gone. I'm now here today and I see that Technodad is taking this really well considering what happened. Hopefully Techno found true peace wherever he went. ❤

I remember watching the announcement video so vividly. I was doing something else when i got the push notif and clicked it hurridly because i thought it was just a quick update video. I remember being shocked by technodad speaking and thinking it was all just a massive prank. When he started crying, thats when i started to cry too. I remember watching every second over and over again waiting for Techno to pop out and say it was all a joke. But that never happened. His death was the first time I've ever experienced grief in my life. Lots of people in my family have died, many from cancer. I've been to funerals without shedding any tears. So it was a shock that I was just broken by the news, even if I never knew him peraonally and it was all through streams and videos. Some people don't deserve to go so soon and he was definitely one of them. He was an inspiration and bright light for so many people. But as long as we keep his memory alive and honor him beyond death, he will never truly be dead because he can continue to live in our hearts. Thank you Technoblade for everything you've done. I joined the dream smp fandom about two weeks ago, a whole while after everything. I had known some of the streamers and the animatics, but had never actually gotten into it. But once I got in, there was no way out. And the moment Technoblade first joined, I knew everything would change. And it did. And once I first heard of what had happened I thought it was absurd and just… impossible. After all, Technoblade never dies, right? But after hearing the full story, and the way he didn’t let it get to him, also raising funds - and basically just everything he’s done, I just started crying like I never have. I wasn’t there for any of the stuff, only basically just now started to get into his content, and yet he already had me sobbing my soul out. He is just that incredible and amazing. And he will never be forgotten.
