Ib was one of my favorite games, I've never actually played it myself but I've seen playthroughs and other content relating to it. If I were to write my own story, I'd probably take some inspiration from it. Mary, in my opinion, is the one that should be sacrificed. She wasn't born and doesn't belong in the real world, Gary and Ib should take priority since they have somewhere to go and have family or friends to return to. It's best that Mary is left behind and burned, at least Mary's suffering ends.
