I'm thinking that the creative decision to give Hermaues Mora such a prominent role in the Nord faith might have been inspired by Odin/Wotan being a god who also goes out of his way to hoard wisdoms and secrets, while having very flexible ethics doing it.

Fun Fact about Gaints: In the sulfur fields south of Windhelm, you can find a Giant mourning his dead mammoth. He's non-hostile and won't attack you, so you can get a great look at him!

Regarding the Giants, nord's can actually interbreed with them. Our main example comes in the form of Lyris Titanborn (Elder Scrolls Online). She is descended from a clan of giant-nord hybrids.

If the Nords coming into the next kalpa become the dragons of the new kalpa, how does that add up with Akaviir as the land of origin for the dragons?

I am amazed you guys forgot that ESO confirmed not only that female giants exist but that they can breed with nords.

Hmmm but the real lore also implies giants and humans share the same origins

I always in my headcanon thought of herma mora as the knowledge the wandering ehlnofey lost

The nords are my favorite race, I enjoy their warrior culture. Their lore isn't the most interesting, but I like their take on the Adera, shor being a bad ass, it's just so different from the other cultures. Plus the story of Ysgramor is so fascinating to me, being a warrior and the bringer of words.

Dunno how much legitimacy you can take from a card game, but in TES Legends there is a creature that is kind of an easter egg (in that you cannot obtain it as a card, only as a token creature), that you will only get on the board by artificially summoning a random creature with a cost that no creature in the game has. The creature that is summoned will be named "Ancient Giant", picturing a man as big as a mountain (I say man, because he looks more human than the giants we are familiar with).

Oh, we have a schedule now. Every 2 weeks. Although whether MK turns up for any of them is anyone's guess.

You know, if we got laurel on a cast about her series about Nordic Femininity, MK would probably be there in a heartbeat. Also, I could bribe him with a cake because MK deals in bribes and back alley transactions involving [GORP].

Nords are so obsessed with the afterlife because Shor(Lorkhan) is their god of the afterlife when he was killed by Trinimac and Auriel.
