I was talking to this guy online and things were going well, we'd started texting. I stopped talking to him when he started talking about how stressed he was and how he needed to go hunting and he couldn't calm down until he killed something and saw the life leave their eyes and the blood etc and sent me a photo of his gun. I know some people hunt but I'm not really down and he worded it like the killer. He just kept going on and on about needing to kill something. He also wanted to go on a date in the back of his pick up truck in a field with blankets and wine and a picnic under the stars which is cute but also a first date? In the middle of nowhere? With someone obsessed with hunting? No thank you. The hunting thing realllly creeped me out with how he worded it so I dropped him.
@manijike4 жыл бұрын
Hunters usually hunt because there are reasons to get those animals out (infected, a threat, ruining ecosystem) there is always a reason that it is better to get rid of those animals and hunters do the job. I've met some hunters as my father is a ranger and responsible for what animals have to be taken down. I have never seen a hunter that wants to kill and feel it and see an animal dying. Dating safety rules: 1. First date always in a public space! Like a café, cinema, etc. 2. Plan your own ride home (or even better: Have someone pick you up) 3. Don't give them your address until you know them better Be safe! And I hope you find someone great :)
@jasmint32074 жыл бұрын
Oh, and I recommend not giving out your number before meeting. But numbers can be changed much more easily than home addresses, so... up to you. Also, please don't get into stranger's cars alone! Destiny's story was so scary.
@jasmint32074 жыл бұрын
With those precautions you can weed out some of the more obvious creeps and dangerous people. Someone worthwhile with basic empathy will completely understand your need for safety and give you time without shaming you or being (fake) offended. But some people can seem really nice first, lure you in and then slowly reveal their toxicity like getting posessive... and it's not your fault if you didn't notice soon enough! Let's try to listen to our gut and train our instincts. I know I'm still learning. And let's not forget: Good people are out there! :)

My advice: carry something to protect yourself with. Pepper spray, mace, tasers or if those are illegal, carry a pair of scissors, a box cutter, a screwdriver. Just have something on you. It's better to carry it and not use it, than need it and not have it. Also, if you're gonna get into someone's car, take a photo of their plates/car brand/color and send it to your friends. If they start going off track, send someone your location.✌️ Always make sure your phone is charged. Stay safe everyone!

My worst online dating experience was when I met this one dude, we had a few short conversations and I wasn't feeling it and later decided I'd be better to stay single and that's what I told him. This man stalked me all over all forms of social media for YEARS BRO. He stalked my friends to stalk me😂😂😭 And at the end of the day he just wanted, and I quote, "that fat sexy butt". Men of the world. What is wrong with some of your fellow males😭😂😂😂

If you want to make a relationship or a date work, just be honest. If someone is using the “r words” or is talking about things you don’t want to hear, rather than sitting there and making the date miserable for yourself, you can communicate what you don’t like and I promise things will turn out a little better.

My old roommate was going on a date this one time with a guy she met at work (they worked in the same mall). She met up with him outside of a busy subway station, his car stops, he signals her in, she sits in the car, he starts rolling, they start talking... and after about 20 seconds they both realize they are NOT each other's dates at all, he was picking up a tinder date, she mistook him for her date since she didn't know what car he drove and they looked kinda similar from afar. At this point they were two blocks away, he dropped her off immediately, she walked back to her date and lives to tell the story! I mean it SOUNDS like the beginning of a horror movie, but it thankfully ended up probably being a really odd case of mistaken identity. It's kinda crazy to think that two couples who vaguely resemble each other would set up a meeting at the same spot, at the same time, and swap like that! lol Be careful, kids! Anything can happen!

The moral of the story is don't use dating apps and invest in friendships first. There is no shortcuts in finding quality and you're also putting yourself in a lot of risky and abusive situations. Dating apps are designed to keep folks single forever...the whole idea of online dating is twisted, shallow, and based on objectification. A recipe for disaster

My worst experience was this guy picks me up from my job. He was sitting on the hood of his car with a dozen roses. We went and had dinner and he starts talking about how much we were meant for each other and how we can be of it each other through all of our hardships and I was like okay.... we had time before the movie starts and he takes me to his dads creepy ass trailer behind a chicken fiesta. And we continued to lay on his dirty twin bed and watched an episode of something on Netflix on his laptop. I was terrified I was never going to leave that place. On our way to the movies I had a “family emergency” he was on the verge of tears our date didn’t finish. He called and texted for months after

Yeah, I feel that ok Cupid is the most secure one if you actually want to find love/relationship. There's also an app btw. I found my ex of 2 years on ok Cupid back in 2016. And I'm currently on there again, and found someone who is a high potential dating partner. It's so funny that I have never met creeps on ok Cupid before, but on Tinder....good lord, there are crazy people on there. 🙈🤦

I met my current boyfriend of over 2 years on OkCupid too!! Imo it's the best dating app if you're looking for a serious relationship/partner, even before him I had many great conversations and a minimal number of creeps, whereas on Tinder and other places the creeps were nonstop and it was more hookup-oriented (which is fine but not what I was personally looking for)

Not gonna lie... my fiancé and I met on tinder. But... how we met was hella funny. The first night we were messaging he got off work at 3 am and came and picked me up. And yes. I got in the car with a stranger at 3am. But he had given me all his info and even a picture of his license to give to my mom before we went out so she wouldn’t freak out. 4 years later we are expecting our first child.

One of my best friends had to block this dude on Tinder and literally almost had to call the cops because he figured out where she worked. He was texting her saying he knows where she works and that he was coming down to her work to see her. She works at a cosmetology store and you can’t even enter without a cosmetology license, but she was the only one in the store that day. I was so scared for her.

These stories are hilariously relatable. I once went on a date with a guy and he asked me to meet me at a subway station. I was standing there waiting for 20-30 minutes in the cold until the dude showed up in his car (like wtf, you could've just driven to my area and meet up there?). Then he asks me to get in, I was in Korea at that time so I wasn't really that worried cause it is a safe place. The car smelled soooooo bad and then he managed to tell me that he went to a sauna with his dad the night before and slept over at the sauna an didn't have time to shower. So it wasn't the car that was smelly, it was the guy. We then went to a café for some coffee and the guy just takes a giant camera bag with him and inside the café he just starts snapping shots of me. I am like dafuq is going on. I quickly drank my coffee and he couldn't stop showing me some of his photography and in between taking pictures even though I said I didn't want him to take pictures. I then told him that I had a evening class that I had to attend to and that I was running late. He told me he would drop me off at the station but I was like nahh it is ok. He insisted and after 5 minutes of discussing I caved. Instead of dropping me off at the station he took me right to my school, I hadn't even mentioned to him that I went to that school, he just knew cause he did some "artistic research before meeting up". That guy was so weird, he even texted me afterwards acting as if we hadn't gone on - what he would call - a date. That wasn't even the worst date that I have ever had.
