I was married to a man who greeted me with ''you are the source of all my problems, I was normal 'till I married you.'' Well, my experiences, scary as they were, make really good stories now. Yes, the importance of vetting and putting the prospect on the casting chair cannot be understated. See how he is with the waitress, children, and animals. Oops, spill the drink and see the reaction. See what he is like angry and frustrated. If he yells at anyone, he will eventually yell at you and you are worth more than that. Stay away from men who criticize and criticize. One never has to say anything negative about anything because people aren't stupid. In my naivete, I thought that people just get along with each other. Not so. Sir, thank you for your videos. Thanks Bern, I have a question regarding Number 6 : If a man you're dating does pull away as he's confused about whether he should commit, and you do give him a break- and if he does eventually come back full force what is the general likelihood of this scenario actually working out long term? As a women with anxious attachment style I understand the logic but my heart feels crushed that someone went to such tremendous effort in the first place. Was it just to win me over for his ego as my initial interest was low? What's to say that this pattern won't repeat every time he has a problem? I think he's stressed about a work situation but is not talking about it. Some additional discernment questions could possibly be beneficial for number 6

Hi Nancy, every situation is different but in the situation you mentioned although you can't eliminate the risk of him getting cold feet again you want to figure out wha'ts changed and why is he now more capable than before. Then if you do give him a chance do it slowly vs 0-60 MPH in 2.1 seconds : )
