Sherman, that circular design is a safety knob like on the mosin Nagant, and is decorated with the imperial chrysanthemum to show it belongs to the emperor of Japan. Also as far as Japanese guns not being good, that's really true of the pistols... Some of the nambu's are extremely dangerous to use. There are videos of the type14 done by the KZbinr "Forgotten weapons" where pressing on the side of the pistol will fire it with out pulling the trigger. But the rifles are generally very good quality.

zman1508 the PAK 50 from the Russians is a Russian copy also - there are less than 200 Raptors I believe + what is the kill ratio for F22s vs what enemies
@zman1508
@zman1508 9 жыл бұрын
Is the pak 50 in service in any way? The F22 is also a 1990's aircraft and still no other nation has a stealth aircraft in any sort of service. And the PAK 50 might be equal to the F35's in terms of stealth but it is highly unlikely it will be the equal of the F 22. The F22 is the only aircraft in the US inventory that has been blocked from export to any other nation even US allies. Also while the combat records of the F 22 are rather small and the amount of them is also small this is a direct result of its original purpose which was a conventional WW3 scenario against a enemy with sophisticated fighter aircraft and AA assets. Its the same reason why vehicles such as the marder 2 or the Comanche were canceled. They were simply not worth the cost in a post cold war era. Also russia's newest planes have even less combat testing than those of the USA. While I agree that those discovery channel documentaries are generally bullshit (The stupidest one i saw stated that the BAR was the best LMG of WW2) the F22 simple has no modern equal the Pak 50 is set to enter service in 2017 and the predictions for its avalible export by russia itself are 2025. So russia will have its first stealth fighter 25 years minimum after the US accepted the Yf-22 and 11 years after the F22 entered mass service. But both in my opinion are a waste of money. The modern battlefield is fought not against nations but against insurgents and against these threats semi competent SEAD and multirole combat aircraft are all that is needed. Also about the japanese guns many of their machine guns needed an oiler device to oil the cases to allow for easy extraction while these guns worked without these they did not work reliably. Oil however attracts particulate matter such as sand. On some of the volcanic islands the japanese and americans fought on the volcanic sand was so fine that even 1903 springfield rifles or type 99 rifles would jam.

nhatduy inouele The first versions wont even have their own engines they will use Su27 engines how will it supposedly be more stealthy without having engines designed for it? Also the Pak 50 is the first stealth aircraft to come out of a country other than the USA the USA even has combat experience with F117 nighthawks. However in my opinion all stealth aircraft are a waste of money. They are designed to fight a third world war against a sophisticated enemy not bomb insurgents day in day out again and again and again. Twin engined multiroles like the Su27 the Euro-fighter and the F18 are a much better fit in my opinion. Also the Pak may be better than the F35 in terms of stealth but it will in no way compare to the F22.

The Japanese type 99, Arisaka was mass produced for European use. The Finnish bought shit loads of these for their military. GSM is missing so much things for the Japanese, I'd want the "Yatsu Igo" (Goliath) tracked bomb, Giretsu commandos, Knee mortars, Na-to tank destroyer, Type Ge AT gun, or the mortar launched rocket artillery.

My Great Uncle fought in the Pacific during WWII and he was able to bring home a Nambu pistol. Other cool facts about him was that he fought in New Guinea and the Philippines. One of his friends died, so he inherited his pet monkey which stayed in his pocket during combat. And he was in a landing ship that surrounded the Missouri during the signing of the Japanese Surrender in the instance that they tried to pull something and they would have to hit the beach.

Chairman Meow Hmm, the Japanese did trained the Indonesian after capturing the islands. The Indonesian pretended to support the Japanese in return for equipments, military training, and administration training. The Dutch return to Indonesia after the war with the help of the British and French. Oddly enough, the US refused to support the Dutch and eventually pressure them to abandon their attempt to recolonize Indonesia. It was one of the few moments that the US supported independence movements against their European allies. One of the reasons why Indonesia is usually on good terms with the US.

***** Well Indonesia is in good terms with everyone right now....except for Australia. Joko Widodo, not the president Indonesia needs right now, but at least he was better than Prabowo. Tony Abbott, loves to piss off Indonesia. Also, not the Prime Minister Australia needs right now. As for my grandfather, he was trained by both the Dutch and the Japanese. Fortunately the Japanese did not know that and many of the Indonesians they trained were already trained by the Dutch. As a result, the Indonesians were familiar with both Dutch and Japanese tactics.

Hey Sherman the Type 4 rifle was pretty much inspired by the M1 Garand. but it had a capacity of 10 rounds instead of 8 and if im not mistaken it was a slightly smaller cartage. It was produced very late in the war and only around 200-300 were made and none were issued to the front before the war ended. Here is a photo, there are many small details that differ from the Garand but its not hard to see that it was the Garand that inspired it: vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net/battlefield/images/7/7b/Type_5_Rifle_IRL_Photo.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20141229033213

I think the documentary about Japanese weapons must have been talking about the later years of the wars. The Standard rifle Type 38 & Type 99 are known as some of the most sturdy and reliable Bolt action rifles of the war. However as Japans home industry got bombed out of existences. the Quality of weapons produced declined dramatically Since they were know literally being built by school children as well as in everyday civilians back yards

However, as the battle in Asia raged, Japan needed more rifles, so they put unskilled laborers to make a rifle. Many rifles differed in their performances depending on the skill of the laborer.

The Shermanator Which the stole from us,f22,First plane to rotate the engines to fly strait while inverted,Also first to be able to fire,Without the person even seeing the plane,Which that plane is still in prototype,And does not even have plans for production,late 2016,early 17,And lets not forget it runs on russian electronics,And it still will never have to stealth capability of the f22,Nor the speed of it.
